Huge matchup for the number 1 seed coming up, but with two easy games left after that MBC has pretty much locked up a home playoff game in the first and second round. Looks like we'll have nachos for the fans!

The Panthers suffered a surprise lost to the Vipers which was a quick reminder that this is the Elite and you can't sleep on anyone. They still have a shot at the number 1 seed with their matchup with MBC, but a loss there could drop them to the 3rd seed and only one home playoff game.

Monster Madness 2013 10 - 2 - 1 http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1466
Three brutal games left on their schedule, but they are cruising right now and almost upset the Panthers. Win all three and the Monsters may find themselves with two home playoff games; however, if they lose more than one of these games they could find themselves on the road.

Border Reivers 9 - 3 - 1 http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1393
This last loss against 8 bit hurt, but they did use a mini helmet on the Reivers. They'll lose their shot at overtaking the Panthers in the standings, but with a win over Beta and with the Monsters losing a couple games the Reivers will move up. Right now it seems like they have a home playoff game on the books, but a loss to Beta could wreck that dream.

North Side Mob 9 - 4 - 0 http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2859
Massive Dynamic brought out the nachos and the Mob was too busy in the stands when the game started; MD never looked back and that loss really hurt the Mob's chances of a home playoff game. With 8 bit and Beta coming up, the Mob will need to dust off their playbook against the Panthers and close out this season strong and hope Beta beats the Reivers to stay home week one of the post season.

Beta has a rough three game matchup left on their schedule; if they slip in those games, their win over 8 bit could make the difference of staying in the playoffs or not. I'm sure they win at least one of the three and that will be enough for post season play.

Well they beat the Panthers and are looking like they'll get a chance to face them again in the playoffs. They have two games with teams fighting for a playoff spot so it's not a walk in the park from here, but we should see the Vipers in the post season.

Sitting at the 8th seed with a brutal matchup for their next game; time is running out on MD's hopes of post season play. I'm not sure they can pull out a win over the Monsters, but their final game against the Vipers could be their ticket in. Good luck, your playoff hopes are in your hands.

Their mid season skid really hurt 8 bit and the next two matchups are going to be playoffs games. The sad thing is even if they win those two games they will need some luck from other teams to get into the post season. This is too good of a team to be sitting on the sidelines for the playoffs, but this is Elite dotball.

The three game loss streak hurts, but they were playing some of the best in the league and were not getting blown out. Doesn't matter now, they'll have to win all three remaining games and get some luck to get into the playoffs. The light is dim, but not quite out.

The Texans do have a tough schedule compared to the other teams looking at a home playoff game, but it's nothing they shouldn't take care of. Don't get me wrong it does irrate me that they are the only undefeated team in the league. Go Chefs!!!!

Well the Jackals came close to beating the Texans and will get a shot at winning the University Tournament, but they're on cruise control for the rest of the season. With two home playoff games locked up it's time to set back and enjoy the rest of the season.

The Other Guys spoiled the Chefs free beer day and gave the Texans all they could, but even their last game barely mattered as their close out schedule is very easy. Downside for The Other Guys is they really can't move up in the rankings so relax for now and watch to see who is coming to your house for dinner in the post season.

The good news is the Mayan Prophecy was wrong and we'll all still here; bad news for all those 8 - 5 teams is the Prophecy has two easy games on their schedule. They could tank their game against the Cabras for the fun of it and still make the post season. Of course they would lose out on a home field playoff game, but I'm sure they've got that locked up anyway.

Chicago Tadpoles 8 - 5 - 0 http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1450
All of the 8 - 5 teams get a shot to make sure they get that post season opportunity the Tadpoles' win over the Chef and HTTR are huge at this point, but the Juventus will be coming hard. Their current concern with the Cabras can't be overlooked as they should be bringing everything they've got. I'd say the Tadpoles have the best chance to see post season play, but this is the Elite so you can't sleep on anyone.

A great team, but that loss to the Cabras hurt bad as they still have some tough games left and they will need to find a way to win them. Their win over HTTR is going to be very helpful, but they have got to beat the Chefs to make their matchup with the Tadpoles less of a concern for post season play.

The Chefs need to rally the team and get everyone to boost as they have to win out to stay in the hunt. Their free hotdog day against the HTTR is a must win to secure a spot because the Wrath is looking like a team that will steal someone's spot.

Brutal close out schedule and with the Wrath having an easy road ahead, this doesn't sit well with HTTR. Their bad luck drawing the Chiefs in the out of conference game is going to haunt them as they have to win out to stay in the playoff hunt. Their win over the Wrath will help if they lose one game, but they have to win the other two.

Things are looking good for the Wrath as they have two easy wins left and a matchup with the Cabras that they should win, but that game could be a must win game to move up in the rankings. They'll need some help, but there is a good chance the Wrath will be in the post season.

Tough close out as the Cabras will face off with two teams that get the chance to spoil their playoff hopes, but more importantly the Cabres have a brutal matchup against the Tadpoles coming up. This game can kill their playoff dreams and is a must win to get in.

So although the top teams are the teams with the higher effective level you can see teams like Monster Madness and Jersie don't seem to follow that rule. Jersie is 4th in effective level in the East, but 12th in the standings. I'm sure game planning have a lot to do with Monster's record. Just thought it would be interesting to see the comparison.

Wow. My average value is actually catching up, despite sleeping on Dotball all through December.

Hopefully I can pull off three wins and still make playoffs.

I was hoping to put up 20 on you guys. I guess GG, but I was really worried about this game and I know Todd was too and neither of us thought this would happen.

i'm sure if anyone watches our o, they can tell its just basic deep passing/inside running and some pitches. definitely didn't mean to do that, but that what happens when you proscrastinate and try to gp the day of

Todd is very good at what he does and it's tough when you have some of us in there that played in the Pros for so long and reset. I know I looked at the Rookie level this season and there are a lot of top notch teams down there. I think we got lucky and it seems there are some newer teams here so we can take advantage of a few things we've learned over the years.

You guys have a great team and I know for sure we were really shocked by today's game. I know when I texted Todd earlier he was hoping to shut you guys out, but was excited with what he was able to do today.

I am happy with this whole league this season, very fun and very competitive! Thank you everyone for making this a great season!!!!
