Now that's gone. Great.

Everyone does it. Once you have done it, 2nd time is an after thought and shouldn't take any thinking. You would be in the same boat as everyone else, new and old.

People need to accept that, much like archetypes, even if this causes a temporary imbalance it will be for the better in the long term, and trying to work backwards and retroactively apply the change would be nightmarishly impossible and cause far more damage than it would fix.

Suck it up and take on for the team, good medicine is supposed to be bitter, etc.

This. And the fact that some teams that demoted were actually trying to do the right thing. Taking advantage of the system = staying in Pro with a roster filled with lvl 1 CPU's. Doing the right thing = getting demoted to level 14 to do a reset. It's understandable that this pissed off new teams. But those new owners don't see just how unsportsmanlike the alternative was. Stop impugning the motives of teams and players that were trying to do the right thing.

So basically, if you own a player created before season 15.. he's worthless..
And if you own a team who didn't demote prior to season 15.. you're screwed..

Sweet.

What makes you say that?

That's not even close to being true.

I like the change to where money for players and teams really doesn't mean anything that important in the scope of drastically effecting the sim (like EQ did).

I think it can work well getting "bling" and stuff like that. MMORPGs and other games are filled with little things like that for "completists". Mini games involving cash or something else to fill out a player trophy case thing or to allow cooler looking equipment or depending on how advanced the flash replays are, maybe something to allow the teams/players to change their looks on the field to personalize things a bit more.

All that could be good for the game and add extra interest for people. Obviously it will be most important for people to win games, but also something for player only agents to mess around with and add a personal touch. The NBA video games i know have things like unlocking new sneakers and hair styles and other superficial things. RPGs have people hunting for treasure/relics that don't necessarily make their player better but more personalized or get a sense of accomplishment/achievement.

Having a person dedicated to additions like that would be nice. Obviously the most important thing is to keep fixing the sim, competitiveness, the reasons behind guts/mergers, AI being more streamlined and common sense, and fixing bugs/exploits and just bettering the game. Having one person on the other stuff is a great idea though. I have other ideas i'll need to post in the suggestions forum in the future as i do believe GLB can be a more fun entertaining place for people

you too

Got away with? Like there was an advantage to taking a team down to lvl 14 instead of gutting and staying in Pro? Your outrage is directed to the people who were trying to do things the right way.

Well it looks like the new system is going to not only curb gutting/demoting/keeping $100mil at lvl 14cap but also make money not all that vital to competing and will be more an extra thing to have fun with and the sim will be the sim. It will make money exploits kinda pointless. There will still be farm teams but i doubt there will be specific cash teams everyone can afford equipment.

Now if only we can find a way to make the need for dedicated farm teams to not be needed then we'd help a lot of competitiveness. Lead franchises can setup a private forum for that group of people and then let the players spread out in the GLB world to help teams who are trying fill out rosters and compete. The only snag is that those farm players want to be guaranteed max XP but maybe bort/catch can alter that system as well.

If we get rid of all the teams who just sit there with cpu players and $100mil bank and the teams with 35 players but just basic AI as they're a pure farm team then we'd have a lot better looking leagues (still too many leagues/teams though)
