It seems like no HB can escape a CB for some reason. Especially in the back field. lol

Separate issue, but a good one to bring up. I'm convinced that CBs either get a bonus to tackling or have a lower make tackle threshold. I think Bort did it to prevent them from missing most of their tackle attempts, not unlike buffing low level passing.

Pssst Bort - want to update the change log to indicate the rollback to fix the FB blocking issue. (Figured it'd be easier to catch you here than the test server)

It should however be noted that many of the best "elusives" don't use elusive running style.

That would make them more "speed" or "combo" at this point, then, correct?

Give me an example of what you consider a "true" elusive build (just approx numbers, not an actual player) and I will test it.

The fact is that the most elusive guys out there (very fast tackle avoiders with little strength) are running this way...the advantage of no-nonsense pathing allows them to use their fakes+speed to get free.

The combo backs are high strength guys who break a lot of tackles and throw a few fakes...they are mainly benefitiing from Slippery, which activate further downfield than bruiser.

The back that really struggles is this guy:

100-110 speed
80-90 agility
60-70 vision
65-80 carrying
55-65 Strenght

50-60 everything else

9-9-9-9-7 elusive tree.

VAs ia Quick feet, Slippery, and your choice of some others (SYM usually).

That seems like a very reasonable end goal for someone trying to build an elusive, and it's just not very good.

How bout if I just copy Tea Baggins' current build to my dev server? I'd say he's pretty much been the epitome of "elusive" back for a while, no?

I could make the generic posted HB as well, and test him out.

In any case, I've got a few things added to my "things to try" list that I keep.

If Agility, Quick Cut, Vision and pathing worked correctly, you'd have this without creating an artificial mechanic that's totally unnecessary and can only serve to nerf the benefit from SAs.

Shitty if that is true. As it is right now 40str/tack CBs can make an alarming high % of their total tackles.

I can PM you a couple if you like though...

Ahh, gotta be a better way...
Lets take the Elite elusive HBs and make them slightly better at fakes when the are the best of the best. YET, pretty much ALL PBs break many tackles a game NOT just the Elite.

No. Some power HBs in "real football" can juke people, but powerbacks in GLB can invest in Head Fake or Juke. I promise you that being able to fake defenders is not something inherent to all running backs. Many who try are completely inept.

All these "elusives" are not elusives at all. Tea Baggins definitely has AT LEAST 61 Str. These are all combo backs who are fast and have elusive SAs.

You don't have to spend anything. Apply for a mod spot, or spend some time talking with some of the current testers, participating in discussions they are having. Approach things calmly and rationally, taking any selfishness out of the equation. Be proactive, but don't be a jerk.

There are a lot of users on the site. I can't personally talk to them all. Particular users have gone out of their way to show interest in improving the game, or the forums, in a respectful and constructive way. TBH, it usually tends to start with a lolmod job somewhere, these days, that moves on to things that are more involved over time.

Tea Baggins hasn't been an epitome of anything but failure since S4.
