right, you were tossing around an unrealistic possibility to make your point

Reading comp please.

Exactly except when I made that point I was trying to refute a point, not sure how that is being a hypocrite. I never once gave the example of dwarfs running around in relation to short WR's being at a disadvantage as a legitimate argument. It was to highlight how absurd of an example he made.

*sigh* Does everything in your life have to be explained to you? Tooley was the hypocrite in that situation for attacking Tyrius but not you, when both of you employed the same tactic.

His example wasn't absurd at all. If height as advantage was an absolute, then that advantage should continue to manifest along the entire continuum. It obviously does not, as illustrated by taking things to such an extreme. It's a basic tool of logic, whateveryournameis. Apparently neither you or blln4lyf ever took a course in that either. By testing connections in such a way, you establish that the relationship is not linear. So height is not by nature an advantage. Some degrees of height may be an advantage, and that's the point from which you may choose to continue arguing, but it's conditional. Your earlier assertions were not conditional, and thus Tyrius' extreme invalidated them.

Okay because I guess I never explicitly stated height to a DEGREE, I would be wrong.

But I feel like anyone with a brain could have deduced that I wasn't talking about putting Shawn Bradley on the field at WR. Just as I assumed you weren't talking about putting Mini-me on the field as a WR.

you have to understand... There's a certain set of stat-heads that think everything actually revolves around statistics, and everything is ether Black, or White... If you don't spell things out for them directly, they'll miss the point.

I feel like I'm having flashbacks to an argument that I had 3 weeks ago when the Reds signed Aroldis Chapman... A guy on the Reds board that reminds me so much of Bolick that it's ridiculous was arguing that there is absolutely zero benefit of being a left-handed pitcher and that it doesn't improve his stock whatsoever... (guy reminds me so much of bolick... he's a baseball writer that never played past high school, and has started to get writing jobs because of his serious dedication to message board posting and blogging, despite often times missing the mark by 1000 yards)... However, when I posed the same question to Walt Jocketty, does it matter if a pitcher is left or right handed if at the end of the season they put up identical numbers, he laughed and said "of course"... Kinda like when I posed the question about QB height from this thread to a former NFL scout, and Bolick tries to dismiss it like THAT'S the guy that doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about...

Style points have been awarded.

And I've seen Gary Coleman's mug shot circulating around... he may be looking for a team.

Good grief. That has no similarity whatsoever to what I've been saying, and you not realizing that only continues to highlight how utterly clueless you are in this discussion. The difference between right-handed and left-handed pitching is enormous. You have drastically different trajectories, which will understandably pose drastically different challenges to right-handed and left-handed hitters. Despite your mind-bogglingly dumb assertion about Drew Brees throwing upwards to tall receivers, being 6'0" or 6'4" doesn't substantially alter the trajectory of a pass.

By the way, while you spend all day on websites like ESPN and such, hoping to get your question answered by someone who actually knows something, I have a lot of those guys on my phone, on IM, or in my address book. Not Jocketty, though.
