More misconceptions shared by a LOT of people. CPL doesn't inherently hate all outsiders. CPL generally shares the "don't care" regarding most people outside of CPL. People really start their posting on a blank slate, since most users really don't give a damn. Posting an innocent GG or "We're in CPL now" thread will keep you pretty neutral, thus, they usually don't really get flamed.

And yes, becoming liked by a community is what happens when you join a new league's forum and try to have a good time. A lot of other league forums have people they can't stand...actually, most league forums that I've seen have 2-3 users that everyone dislikes, and speaks to condescendingly, while making snarky remarks about their dotballing abilities.

i'm not sure if even "meta-trolling" is an accurate description of what the CPL does to people. it's not just that you take the contextual rug out from under people... it's like you do away with the very concepts of floors/walls/ceilings themeselves.
It can't be considered trolling when the 'target' of the troll isn't actually a target, but rather an outsider visiting the forum of his own free will.

but that's my point. you guys aren't trying to troll at all... you pull off an amazing meta-troll in a matter of seconds, but no particular individual ever did anything wrong.

meanwhile, the victim knows they just got pwned, which is why they react the way they do... and why they get further frustrated when they can't figure out who they're fighting (because no one is really fighting them).

it's like trying to convince the universe to care about you as a person.

So we're at fault for something we're not trying to do, but rather the over reactions of other people to the thing we're not trying to do?

You're right it is. And the universe doesn't.

The solution isn't to destroy the universe and try to change the laws of physics to force it to care about you. That is impossible and not worth your efforts.

The solution isn't to go columbine up in this bitch.

The solution is to learn how to deal with life, put things in perspective, and make some freinds who DO care about you.

If the GG forum is active (which I doubt it will be), it would just cause more tension between the two groups, while they would still get trolled.

If the GG forum is dead from only 4-5 people being interested, 3 of which are on the same team...then they still don't enjoy the league forum.

i'm certainly not saying that the CPL "hates all outsiders", etc. in fact, i'm saying the exact opposite.

I'd agree that most outsiders hate what they believe CPL is.

Of course, considering most outsiders consider CPL to be "/b/-lite" or "FFA-lite" than I can say safely that I don't mind that they hate us, as long as we're allowed to keep on trucking.
