I'm not familiar with the teams and owners but you got punished by Bort so you did something. I'm not some arbiter of GLB you can deflect and cherry pick inconsistencies in comments but I just find it a bit cringe adult men are cheating in a game with such a small community.
Just a bit weird innit.

So basically how the pro leagues are right now? If multis is considered cheating nothing will change

The forum is nothing but people whining about wanting to enjoy the game. Enjoy it how you want, don’t like getting blown out? Fix your AIs.
I’m pretty sure 90% of the population here is grown ass men and you’re crying on the internet? Take it to Reddit. I can enjoy this game just playing casual with no/no teams as a 1 owner team and not care.
Cheating, greasemonkey scripts, exposing defenses, no one is gonna be happy. Play how you want.
Completely missing the point. I've not seen anyone complain about getting smashed by a better team. I've only seen people calling out PeeJJK for breaking 2 rules, one of which was punished by the owner of the game.
I agree, people should play the game how they want, as long as they aren't cheating.

And for people who use multi accounts to get around having to pay for flex, you are actively killing the game. This is probably a small earner to Bort who is going to put in just enough effort to keep the monthly revenue ticking over and by you getting around that, other people will find out and do the same, dropping flex point purchases and making it more likely for Bort to just discontinue development and hosting.
Give your heads a wiggle you're supposed to be adults.
Just noting, that this is the most active 2004 browser game on planet earth, and it effectively was abandoned by developers like 17 years ago. The fact that this game is still here and running on fumes from way back then, is in itself a miracle.
Bort made millions in GLB's prime, enough so that he could retire and spend his time making a steam game that 15 people play. He keeps GLB around (server costs) and does just enough to keep the lights on purely out of nostalgia, like your first band you loved when you were 13. I am sure the feeble hosting costs are covered by continued flex purchases, but this is not why GLB continues to be online.
GLB1 is not perfect, and GLB2 was the failed attempt to fix and improve the imperfections. The last thing anyone should be concerned about is GLB1 not making enough money due to multi's, which the games developers decided were OK.

I agree on all points except why the hell do we have to multi to dodge costs if it isn’t about money. I can hardly afford to buy my kids every damn thing they want in the world with this budget.
He really made millions? Fuckin hell. I heard the guy that invented the pet rock made a million dollars too. Some people just get all the breaks.

I wouldn't really say it was abandoned 17 years ago, theres a bunch of stuff in the changelog from a few years ago. Having a tech platform isn't just releasing code and then leaving it forever, it needs constant maintenance. Servers, updating frameworks, compliance. This is super misleading. Bort might not be actively releasing big features but saying he abandoned the game is disingenuous.
I think I saw someone post a spreadsheet of active players and there was like 2.5k in there right? This is a very engaged, dedicated userbase I bet the conversion rates of players who purchase flex is very high, and its cyclical because of the nature of how seasons work, this game makes money still, trust me.
Saying the owner of this game is fine with people not buying flex is insane, its just not worth the cost to stop backdoor accounts. It would probably be a very big update to the Auth system to check for IP addresses, which isn't bulletproof with how easy to access VPNs are right now.
At the end of the day if you like this game, and get enjoyment, you should be purchasing flex points and not using multi accounts. For those of us who might not be able to afford the 50 bucks or so every month, they can still enjoy using free slots and maybe 1-2 non glamour positions.

I think theres a market. GLB has a particularly addicting gameplay loop I think would apply to lots of sports.
