Just outside the top 10, #12 Fury faced off against the #11 Miami Dolphins. Miami's QB, Reed Potts, came to play...rushing for 220 yards and 2 TDs on just 16 carries. Fury, on the other hand, relied on a more traditional offense with their HB going for just under 200 yards on 43 carries.
Both teams featured a putrid passing attack with Potts going 8 for 28 for just 48 yards and Fury's QB managing only 9 for 29 for 74 yards. In fact, Fury was only 5 for 21 going into their final drive. Something in that drive clicked, though. On 3rd and 3 with 2:19 to go, TE Justin Ayala hauled in a 10 yard catch to keep the drive alive. Ayala pulled off an amazing jumping catch for a 17 yard catch and a 1st down. This catch broke the spirit of the Dolphins D and Fury completed a 9 yard TD pass to WR2 Even Piell for the go-ahead TD.
The Dolphins offense wasn't done. They drove the field but their 43 yard FG attempt was no good, allowing Fury to steal the game.
Well played, Miami!
Wow what a game, good job you guys.
