You can control the play types the FB gets the ball instead of the HB, though.

You're speaking about what would be ideal, and what is "technically" possible in the game. That's not how the game ya'll designed actually functions though. The way the skill system is laid out and the roster limitations are designed simply eliminates rushing FBs as a realistic option.

I wouldn't put a RFB in at GLFB for the simple reason that I'd prefer my other 4 HB run plays are getting adequate lead blocking. Better to suffer through needed a 5th HB rushing play from some other formation at 1 pip in such a GL based section of the playbook. Carrying a rushing FB on the roster simply reduces depth at blocking FB. There's literally nothing a rushing FB can do that a rushing HB can't do, except get those rushing FB achievements.

You can put the rushing FBs at HB ..... if you have no HBs on the roster (Politicians did that with their passblocking/receiving FBs)

If I could go back and change one thing it would be to make my bHB a pure blocker. He wasn't built with that in mind from the start.

1. Build a blocking HB
2. Build a rushing QB
3. Run nothing but QB runs out of non GL
4. Profit???

Yea my team will be 95% pass as they get older. I have the bHB more for blitz pick up and what not. I ran a similar syatem in GLB with decent success.

Make sure you call passing plays that do not have the HB as the primary receiver, they never get held in to block...tho I'm not sure there are many. I would go with high quickness and footwork also. Don't know how much that would help here.

No need to get chippy at me because the way the skills are laid out has driven rosters/playcalling in directions ya'll didn't want.

I've liked building the all-pass and all-rush teams. It's been fun

You're not going to stop min/maxing. The skill system dictates, to varying degrees, pumping passing or rushing. Catching or rushing. Run blocking or pass blocking. Coverage or tackling. Pass block breaking or run block breaking. Most skills aren't laid out in a way to offer universally tempting capabilities beyond some of the physicals and mentals, and on defense tackling skills.

Super great - until CD and co nerf the shit out of it.

Stop trying to think of things that work. CD is probably getting a nerf boner, and preparing to lower the boom on rushing FB's and or blocking HB's.

Not a little nerf - but a typical good old fashioned GLB 'WE HAVE TO NERF THIS SHIT INTO OBLIVION WITH NO LESS THAN 3-4-6 CHANGES THAT OVERKILL THE NERF ON THE OP SKILL / PLAY / STRATEGY UNTIL IT JUST TOTALLY SUCKS' kind of nerf.

That is how they do it. Practice makes perfect.

I would just like to say how much I love that there are no injuries in GLB. I quit my other web game because of them, and this NBA Finals would suck if Irving was out.

yep

Cavs with Love, Irving, and LeBron - Cavs in 6
Cavs with LeBron and Irving - Warriors in 7
Cavs with just LeBron - Warriors in 5

looks like GS in 5

If you told me gs would be playing in the finals at the start of the season i would of laughed for a good couple of mins. Crazy how things turn out though.

I hate the length of the NBA playoffs. Next game is Sunday? Really?

If they'd kill about 20 regular season games I don't think anyone except the owners and television advertising would miss it. It doesn't take 82 regular season games for us to figure out the Cavs are the best team in the East. We all knew that going into the start of the season. Really only need 8 playoff teams too. IIRC, no 5-8 seed's ever made it to the conference finals right?

None of that will ever happen since the dollars that'd be lost would be huge for TV and the owners. It'd also take the NBA out of the national discussion for a couple extra months.
