Only thing I'd adjust to this is changing WL demotion to just the bottom 4 in each conference and keep promotion as the teams playing in the League Championship in the new pro leagues. Teams that go 7-9 or 8-8 in the WL and miss the playoffs (even 9-7 sometimes) on the whole are better than at least half the teams that promote. I don't see any reason to drop them down.

Why hasn't this been done yet?

+1 nice thought out plan. All Pro leagues are way dilluted and should be condensed down. Either that or keep the same number of pro regions but you gotta reduce from 16 teams.

+1 to the OP & I actually like this idea as well if you were to keep more Pro Regions than 4.

reset everyone, return flex and start over with everyone as a level 1. Then earn your way to the top. Problem solved.

I have a feeling quite a few teams will be doing that after this season.

I like it. It would mean more exciting coming down to the wire games. Providence has outscored 1222 points to 54 in 10 official games. That is better than average World League teams. Almost all of the 8 or more win teams have games with 200+ point finals. The 0-10 Dayton Destroyers have faced 7 games where they have allowed 255 points. This is exact proof Pro leagues are just a bunch of blowouts.

I like the idea....

We've had 2-3 decent games from 9 and without seeming disrespectful to the rest, probably one more.

For CPL, this has been the most atrocious of seasons in terms of competetiveness.

I'm sure the statisticians can provide data that tells us that there are a body of teams coming to refill Pro, but to find after a few seasons of waiting that there are CPU teams at the start of a season is the indicator.

I rarely post negative press, but the situation really demands a solution like JD has posted.

They could fill those spots with teams from AAA, but won't for some reason. I know some got their panties in a bunch when they were "force" promoting to fill open spots, but I would like to have the chance to move to the Pros. They should boost the teams that win and then offer promotions to fill the rest. I know I would take one to move to the Pros even though we haven't won a AAA trophy yet.
