Let me split this quote into what I agree and disagree.

1. I am tired of people knocking other coaches talent levels in this league.
- totally agree, it is annoying

2. The difference between the top flight PW Gold coaches and everyone else is minimal these days. It takes half a season at best for someone with DC experience to realize what you need to do to be successful at this level or put forth a solid team. The hardest part about PW Gold is getting there... staying there isn't rocket science.
- no way, why are some teams 13-1 and some 0-14

3. I've gone a season without touching the AI once and a season without boosting or adding CEQ to my entire team and am still in Gold. One season we went 13-3, the other we just missed the playoffs and finished 9th place.
- great but I'm not so sure. Anyway, the AI isn't important, it's what plays are called.

4. So outside of the few owners who have actually won gold in pee-wee gold, everyone else is on the same level in my eyes.
- not a chance, are you saying that FG has been equal to teams that are consistently lower in the standings every season

I think that +6 strength makes a huge difference when it's the equivalent of 24 skill points thrown into your line (the different of a 68 strength and 74 strength lineman). I say this based on past seasons because I never required CEQ on my teams because I felt it was a waste of someone's money (not waste of points, just not financially sensible to demand from my agents). It definitely cost us a trophy or two along the way in some very close tourney and playoff matches down the stretch of the season.
.

IMO, since they nerfed pancakes, it's not as big of a deal. My test team only had strength from 68-74 on the entire Dline and the Goats or Tombstone had trouble running on them.... Goats/Tombstone had a big advantage on strength... Morale is different so Oline's are a little better.. but SAS's run D is damn good without CEQ - we couldn't line up and run slams the whole game even with the CEQ advantage.. Dline just needs to hold their ground and not get pancaked.....let the LBs and Safeties fly to the play.

also, my test team - most players were created on day 2 and 3. by the end of the season it was a damn good team without CEQ and could hold it's own against anybody.

Maybe there are positions where the CEQ doesn't have as big of an effect, but it does give you 6 extra attribute points which are worth at least 12SP. They even give you flexibility with your build plan.

Boosters

In all seriousness, I'm stumped as to how your OL was consistently pushing my DL of all 85+ strength guys back several yards consistently. I can't score if I don't have the ball.

I have no idea what happened. I was expecting my O-line to get destroyed, and scouted for a whole lot of passing plays, but auto-adjust ending up slamming all game long.

I wonder if he has "Get Low" trained up on his OL. Combine that with a high Strength OL, might do the trick against a stronger DL, especially if your DL doesn't have "Wall".

Probably would have been a different game for you guys had it not been for all the penalties.
