Having an awesome manager, a very friendly customer, and the fact that it was a 'swig' to taste it, not to get drunk. I don't want to be drunk on the job, I'd break shit and have to pay for it.

I love directv's customer service team. Spent 40 minutes on the phone on my one bi-weekly day off telling them that there's a hardware issue with my DVR. Surprisingly, everything they wanted me to try for the 5th time to see if it was a software issue didn't work only to have the conversation end with "Well I cant figure it out, we will have our case management team call you in 30 minutes"

It's ok. I disagree about it being the best. I may be biased, but I'm becoming more of a fan of our local, Louisiana rums that are made with local sugarcane. Someone let me sample some at my BBQ over the weekend... WOW.

Coming from mountain country, I've not had the luxury of local rums. Local whiskeys and shine are popular but no rum. I have a bit of a sweet tooth so the private stock was pretty awesome to my tastebuds

So I went to the driving range for the first time ever today. Never played any kind of golf besides mini golf. Holy shit I sucked and its way harder than I expected. Started kind of figuring it out at the end but that basically meant not actually hitting the ball in the air and not 10 yards along the ground.

Yup. Golf is way more difficult than anyone realizes until they actually swing a club. I used to play when I was young. My best game was a 92 when I was 15 or so. Then, I had a really awful game one day and I got so pissed that I quit and never played again.

If I tried now (29), I'd be back to square one and just trying to actually hit the ball.

We had the local bar association golf tourney last week.

After the first two holes, my co-workers thought I was some sort of golfing phenom. Drove a beautiful opening shot up the middle of the fairway, dropped one about ten feet from the pin from about 150 yards out on the second shot, drained the putt, hit the green with my tee shot on the second hole, sunk a long eagle putt... then pretty much shit the bed for the rest of the day. I'd like to blame all of the alcohol sponsors, but I've never broken 100 before and I knew that those were all just lucky shots.

It isn't hard to make a good shot every once in awhile... the hard part is consistency.

Thankfully it was a Texas scramble and I didn't need to hit perfectly all game.
