At what proof would an alcohol be suitably good enough to function as a mouthwash? 80? 100? Everclear-190?

Figured I always use mouthwash after brushing but booze puts me out a little faster so I can make the most of the 6 hours a day I have to sleep, kind of a 2 birds with one vice type of deal.

Our drinking age is either 18 or 19 in Canada, so it was never tough to load up. Someone always had an older brother or sister who was cool with buying for a bunch of us.

Then, one of our friend's turned 19 in the summer before university. We spent the summer fixing up rental properties during the day and getting paid in cash, then spending that cash to get hammered at night. Good prep for first year of University.

18. I know because that was the first and last time I will ever see Canada.

None of the above. Though Everclear will do a lot of other cleaning.

Getting drunk stops being worth the effort by the time you turn 21.

Is it really effort? You go out and have a good time and it happens. Effort is everything that got you to the part of the day where you said god damnit I need a beer.

What does that say about their every day life though? I can do all that while I am taking a piss.

All of us are the sad people who spend night after night at the bowling alley. McBriar is the balding, humorless know-it-all that gives everyone advice while scoring 140, and you're the post-high school burnout who sits in the back of the room alone making fun of people.

Drinking =/= getting drunk. As you become an adult you realize that getting shitfaced interferes with your ability to go out and have a good time.

Not only do I have all my hair, but I barely break 100...on a good night.

You're just flailing here. I can't speak for Ahrens, but I have the assets and a good, well-paying job that also allows me to poke around into GLB throughout my workday. I know I'm not a internet sportswriter, but I've got a masters degree and my own company that affords me the 'luxury' to enjoy my time on this earth.

When you're really an adult, one who can take care of themselves, you get to enjoy life. You get to drink, not purely to get shitfaced in anyway possible like in college where you were drinking straight everclear, but because you want to. Because you like to. I can get drunk outside by the grill with some nice ribeyes on there...because I want to. That's adulthood.

You took a personal shot at me even though you're known for being the worst moderator in the history of the site, for giving terrible advice in FAQ, for being so bad at coordinating that in the Moon League forum a coordinator screwing up their team's chances is known as a McBriar, and then for telling bizarre and humorless stories in team forums that you seem to think are interesting and worth reading. Congratulations on apparently being financially successful; if only it could buy you a better personality and make you even slightly entertaining.

*sigh* You're still missing the point. When you're a teenager "getting drunk" seems like the best thing in the world and a great way to "enjoy life" because we're all stupid and inexperienced at that age. Once you reach adulthood you realize how dumb it actually is, or you should. Drinking with friends is fun. Watching other people being drunk is fun. Vomiting is not fun. Passing out is not fun. Stumbling into people and spilling things on them is not fun. The whole reason people were posting drink lists is because adulthood is about savoring things. That's why I made the "Milwaukee's Best" post. When you're young and stupid and obsessed with getting drunk, it doesn't matter that what you're using tastes awful.

It goes:

19 in BC
18 in AB
19 in SK
18 in MB
19 in ON
18 in QC

... I don't know the Territories or the maritime provinces drinking ages, having never been to any of them. For the rest, there it just alternates between 18/19.

I lived in SK, so we would do roadtrips to Alberta for booze and strippers when we weren't old enough in SK.

19 as well for territories and Maritime provinces. Only in AB, MB and QC it's 18.
