4 INT game: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/213849

5 INT game: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/213866

So, 15 INTs in 3 games plus the fumbles.

Wait, the entire defense lost morale at the end of the play? Why?

Is it a specific play or couple of plays that he is getting the INTs on? Going to have to take a deeper look. I would also think that holes would exist elsewhere. I will say that a hard hitting zone defense takes a pretty serious toll on receiver morale over the course of a game it seems.

Damn, didn't even notice that. Looks like it happened as soon as the guy got tackled.

Hmm, most of these aren't EOTP induced. And even with the turnovers, your O is still putting up plenty of yards and points.

I wonder if Man defenses that have team-wide investment in Interception would produce results similar to that. 60-70 Interception for, say, 6 of the guys dropping back into coverage. Would that produce similar results?

In case you can't watch this (private?), I'll describe it.

LZ runs HB Clear out vs. DD Tampa 2 Sink.
WR Belgarion is running an inside slant to the First Down marker.
Belgarion catches the ball just beyond the First Down marker. Tick 42
CB Alec Clemmons has Zone Shark fire. Tick 42
LB Octavio Best has Monster Hit fire. Tick 44
At Tick 44, WR Belgarion goes from 100 Morale to ...... 53 as the ball is KL'd.

No they aren't, but most are when I get pressure quick enough to force the QB to throw it quickly. Not necessarily a hurried pass, but just quick enough to keep my defenders from chasing too much.

Unless Zone Shark and Monster Hit can fire at the same time, and the LB went Zone Shark & Monster Hit right before the tackle...that was all generic Monster Hit and Knocked Loose.

Unless the CB got there first, had a poor tackle attempt and Belgarion was getting gangtackled by the LB, then maybe the morale hit from LB's Monster Hit as well as the CB's Zone Shark happened?

Do you have 4 DL that can all rush the passer, or do you think you really need 8 in coverage?

I've seen it before with a combo Zone Shark + Monster Hit on a KL, from what I can tell if both defenders hit you before you go down then both SAs effect the the Receiver. It also works the same way with 2 Monster Hits on a RB.

Paraboon thought's:

It was a double Zone Shark + Monster Hit KL

All 8 of my DL are built nearly the same way, 80 Pass Rush Tech & 80 Break Run Block with both Spin Cycle and Shed Block Gold. I've slowly started putting 4 DL on the field at a time since the secondary has started playing a little better. The only downside is that leaving 7 back there leaves some big holes if the DL can't force a quick pass.

If Zone becomes the "give up yards, but get turnovers" Pass D, that could be cool/interesting.

I may be wrong, but here is the math that makes me think it was a double ZS + Monster Hit.

Gold ZS - -15 Morale
Gold MH - -12 Morale

That leaves -20 Morale on the table, maybe it's just from the KL and Hard Hit in general but that seems pretty steep.

This has always been my philosophy
