+1 for stronger competition among the pro leagues. Also making the pro leagues "closer" to the WL (sorta) by making all 4 stronger and not having 8 pro leagues with only a few good teams.

As to the OP, I can tell you right now that this idea is not going to be popular. It's popular among the elite because they have players on these teams that are suggested for the various leagues. But the teams that go down and the teams coming up from AAA who now have an additional barrier to getting to the pros? Forget about it.
This is another example of the elite trying to dictate changes to the rest of the GLB population that tightens their grip on on the top tiers of the games. This will probably get a lot of yes votes early and then as the casual GLBer checks in, it will start to lose traction.

Coming from the OC of 3 pro teams (Records: 3-5, 2-6, 3-5) I'd say this post is full of self interest. Nice attempt to claim the exact opposite, but it's pretty transparent.
I'm the OC for a 9-0 pro team. Wanna know how many times I've actually game planned? 1. It was for Stewart. I might game plan on week 16 if we're still undefeated. For good pro teams the season doesn't even start until day 32. That's fucking retarded.
Oh, and +1 for this suggestion. -1 for the failures with crappy pro teams that give it a -1.

I think there are way too many teams in the WL and each Pro League. I'd much prefer to see the number to teams in these leagues cut down to a level that would make it more competitive.

League - Pros (will still retain the 8 regions) - Min Age 281 days - Max Age - Uncapped

League - National Minor - Min Age 201 days - Max Age - 240 days

League - Local Minor - Min Age 121 days - Max Age 160 days
League - University - Min Age 81 days - Max Age 120 days
League - Prep - Min Age 41 days - Max Age 80 days
League - Advanced - Min Age 1 day - Max Age 40 days
League - Fundamental - Min and Max Age = 0 days
The people voting no do not understand what they are voting on.
The 8 Pro regions are NOT going away.
There is NOT an extra level being added between AAA and Pro. It will NOT be harder to reach Pro. It will be easier.
What will take place is the creation of a better transition from Pro to WL. Essentially, top half (competitive half) will move up into this NEW level. The bottom half of the current Pro teams will remain in Pro and the best of AAA will fill this void. Lets face it, the bottom half of almost every Pro league are just glorified AAA teams anyway.
Also, if you think about, with the new age system and the name changes that DD has suggested will end up creating 4 Pro levels (local, regional, national, worldwide). That is ridiculously water down. With the idea being proposed it will essentially have 3 Pro levels... the traditional 8 Pro leagues that feeds into the hemispherical/regional Pro that then feeds into the World League (best of the best).

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1446182 90-0 versus a good team who should be competing for a title in CPL, but can't because we're still stuck there.
as being involved in 2 teams that can't hang in the WL but Pro bores us but 1-2 reg season games a season ..

Seems a very short sighted suggestion. It make sense in S19, but what will happen in S21 ? The structure suggested in the OP is solid way to narrow the current 8 pro leagues to 6 leagues. But it is far from a long term solution (I doubt there is one).
Hemispheres have been suggested for a while. I think Rusty proposed it, as did WiSeIVIaN if memory serves. The need has been there for a while now, but extended plateau is actually making things worse for the Pro leagues, because you're pushing more and more elite talent down into the top level of Pro without doing anything to improve the middle and bottom. So you have bigger gaps in Pro than ever before, which produces highly uncompetitive seasons.
Hierarchy like that was used in GLB on many levels and was never a good long term solution. There is a imbalance mechanism in the way people play this game that doesn't allow competitive hierarchies to stay that way.
(For the record I voted 'yes', since it is better to do something every 3-4 season then do nothing)

Yeah, sorry about that. You could obviously add another Pro region if you wanted to, but the more you add, the more you dilute the competition. That's still an easy solution if they want to do this, but think that only four Pro regions wouldn't hold enough teams. All you would do to modify the OP would be to increase the amount of demoting hemisphere teams by four in exchange for the new four promotees from the fifth Pro region.
