When it gets back to Alpha, TKW would love a crack at Bonn.

You already got your chance...to the back of the line, Wang.

actually the old wangs got their shot..the younger wangs beat the older wangs this season. I guess it would make sense.

then again I have a player on both teams. Sabotage!

Ok, so the next defense will be against a Pro level team. I personally like the idea of setting up a play-in game to see who plays us for the trophy because it gives more teams/regions a shot. Basically, a game between USA vs non-USA contenders.

So, if this is going to happen we'll need to get this play-in game setup soon so that the winner could then play us.

Who are the top contenders?

USA
New Jersey Blaze - only loss is an early one to CCCC
Nashville Hounds - couple of losses lately to good teams
some other have good resumes, but none that are better than the Blaze that I can tell

I'm leaning towards the Blaze to be the US rep, is there a better case for someone else?

Non-USA
This is a lot harder in my eyes. Several have mentioned Manus, but they've had some losses lately including to the Blaze already. Let's hear a list of nominations.

lol... i say this as an agent with 3 players on the Blaze and as a good friend of blln4lyf too - but the Hounds have beaten WW (likely top 10 in next rankings), MM (current #3 and team to play Bonn the closest this season), Drygerian (current top 10), OTRRD (current top 10), and Singapore Marauders (by 30+?) before dropping a pair of scrims by single digits against WL teams battling for home field advantage. I wouldn't say the Blaze resume is somehow "better" (to quote WoC) than the Hounds but that's just one (biased?) man's opinion I guess.

that's cute jrry. as an agent on 2 of the teams we've beaten (MM and OTRRD) and soon to be 3 (KKAR) this season, I can see your frustrations

Blaze and Hounds both have good resumes this season, but I personally believe WoC said ours is "better" because we have been rolling as of late and you guys have hit your first real struggles as of late. Either of our teams would be a good choice imo, and had this defense came a week ago I am sure he would have had us under you instead of the other way around.

Actually HHW played Bonn the closest out of anyone.

While I'd really like to see a team outside USAPL get a shot, I really don't think anyone comes close to the resumes the Blaze & Hounds have.

the counter is strength of schedule. Blaze have played one WL team and it's a team that's in the process of selling off S1 guys. Hounds have played 5 WL teams (all playoff and all fighting for home field) and are 3-2 w/ only two losses of season coming against them.

I think strength of schedule wipes out your argument blln

And I think the Hounds choking vs. 2 WL teams of late, wipes out yours...
