Let me ask you guys this question: Do you send your speed/elusive backs up the gut or on the edge? Obviously, most say on the edge. So why would you send your speed/elusive WRs over the middle? It is the same principle.

If your guy has low strength and carrying, why do you expect him to be able to go over the middle? I don't expect speed backs to run through linebackers. With the strength/carrying some of you have, I wouldn't even send him anywhere near a safety or linebacker, he would just get killed.

If you want to be a trackstar, just run flies and flags and keep up the 100+ speed and 80+ agility. If you want to be able to catch something over the middle, you better start building up Strength and Carrying to 60+.

Before you complain about how many skills you have to build up to catch both kinds, remember... the defense has to do that, too. LBs can't be all strength for power backs and all speed for speed backs, they have to balance. The offense should take note.

Are you kidding me? You seriously think that that exact play you posted is too much? That WR had no chance on that ball,

If you are going to bitch and whine about something, at least be honest about it, and post actual plays that need fixed, not BS ones like that one you posted,

That is the major problem why things that need to be fixed, are perceived not to be fixed because of shit like that.

THIS

OCs don't use WRs properly. Certain WRs are meant to be in the slot and go over the middle, others are meant to be on the edges.

Stop blaming the sim for everything.

Because sending your WRs across the middle in the NFL has never caused them to get leveled while catching the ball.

So before you give us the answer to everything...what do you think about this play http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=712828&pbp_id=1050335. Does that change your opinion?

I think it's mostly just poorly implemented, but yeah maybe a bit overpowered.

By the way, I love how when people call for a defensive nerf, nobody complains. But when an offensive nerf is being discussed, half a server wigs out.

I'm just posting all of them from the game, so fuck your face. Focus on the legitimate discussion at hand if you need to, but figure it out quick moron.

bort once told me before knocked loose was implemented was that a "drop" was anytime a WR made an active play on the ball to catch it but failed. Basically, if it hits his hands and he doesn't hold it, it's a drop.

but that means it also doesn't have to be caught.

IMO, looking at that replay it looks like the ball came in, he got a hand or two on it but never held it, and the defender knocked the ball out with his own hands or hit/shove the body enough to make it come out.

The replay says "caught and knocked loose" but I believe "caught" = "touch the hands of the receiver" in the sim and not actually grabbed the ball and had it in his hands. Sometimes it does, but not always.
