So I've been sick for about a week, which sucks given I'm scheduled for 77 hours from last Friday to this Friday but I've been coughing and talking so much I sound like Barry White and it's awesome. Problem is I keep talking because it makes me lol so I can't get better

Made a pizza last night and a little olive oil dripped into the bottom of the oven. Later, when my girlfriend and her friend were baking cookies for dessert, the oven caught fire, specifically the oil underneath the heating coil. I swear I was dealing with 6 year olds. They're bugging out and my girlfriend is getting the fire extinguisher from underneath the sink, struggling to even figure out how one would use a fire extinguisher.

I shoo them away, grab the baking sheet from the top of the stove and smother it.


Scares me that they're both ICU nurses, basically trained to perform in high pressure situations.

There is no more convoluted process on the planet than the so-called "Short Sale". Its the single most inefficient process I've ever been involved with, and this is coming from somebody who watched 9 years of bureaucratic idiocy from within a federal agency. No matter how many times I've been involved in these stupid time-sinks, they never get better, and they never get easier. I truly believe I would rather be unemployed IF my only job offer were to be a fulltime position dealing exclusively with short sales--I don't think my spirit could withstand 50 hours a week of that level of insanity.

It's a shame Larry is so wordy and not witty at all, he could have been the real life Ron Swanson.

I got a blister during PT today. The skin peeled up, then from what we were doing the skin flap got pushed underneath the skin thats still attached. Talk about fucking painful tryna pull that shit out. Not even sure how the fuck that happens.

I'd add some not too overpriced single-malt scotch options (a 12 year old Balvenie variety, Glenlivet 12)
improve your tequila menu (add more Sauza varieties, Cuervo is crap)

wine:
sauvignon blanc - crisp and refreshing
pinot noir - good by itself and goes well with a lot of foods

Skip the glenlivet 12 and go for the 18. Not a huge price difference and the 18 was aged in different barrels, like ex-bourbon barrels IIRC, and gives it a much bolder taste.

I'd agree with expanding your Tequila. Cuervo is actually ok imo. I'm not a huge fan of anything other than anejo or silver, it's a full/heavy age or none at all for me on tequila. No aging so I can mix it or full aging so I can sip a little by itself or have it in a margarita

You really need more rum too. Plain rum, not flavored. Flavored is good and I like it but you really need some unflavored in there. Try some spiced or gold if you're looking for a drink-on-its-own type rum, any other type can go in cocktails
