Odd note: My knees hurt worse after working 2 weeks in a liquor store with skating shoes and sneakers with dr. scholls than they did in months of landscaping in loose shoes with longer days.

Though my back hurts infinitely less. Tradeoff I suppose.

Random question: Would alcohol work as a cough suppressant or mitigator?

Getting a weak cold or some decent allergies, doesn't really matter which because it's pretty minor. Wondering if a swig could theoretically work as a cough suppressant, due to its respiratory depressant qualities, temporary warming effect that could be compared to a mentholated product, and the astringent qualities of any alcohol raw skin with more exposed blood vessels.

I'd pass the theoretical and just drink a bit but I took some nsaids for my knees and I'd rather not abuse my liver if I don't have to

Everything I've ever seen strongly suggests avoiding alcohol

The human body is nothing if not resilient.

I mean, the body killing itself was the leading cause of death in the US last year. A couple painkillers and a swig of jack isn't going to put you down.

Standing vs moving around and being active. On days when I'm not super busy and am standing around more my feet and knees hurt way more than days when I am busy and moving around all the time.

The pharmacy finally called back, and I have a 16 hour day tomorrow between the 2 jobs, while sick. I get home tonight at midnight, work my first shift at the pharmacy from 8am-5pm and close the liquor store from 6pm-12am.

Being an adult sucks

What until you figure out how hard you work and how much everyone's favorite uncle takes of those efforts.

I already had that fun when I filled out my 1099 last year. I was just under their taxable level, and they still tried to tax me.

Luckily, working 2 jobs part-time I can minimize the taxes to maybe a 15% level

Umm... well, if they don't know how much you are earning at the other job, they won't deduct as much, but that only means that you will owe taxes at the end of the year instead of getting a refund.
