I guess we shouldn't go 3 deep at HB. Held our #1 guy back to only 190.

Energy wasn't hit bad at all. Against these gutted teams, I just don't have the luxury of 3 HB's, so I tell my guys to play on normal and crank the running % to 80 so it doesn't get too out of hand.

Well we don't have the luxury of 5 WRs so we do what we can

GG OKC. What a bummer.

We let up one big play and it cost us. OKCs QB made some ridiculous throws right into double-coverage on 3rd downs that the WRs pulled down.

We had 2 scrimmages against horrible EC teams (Warlocks/Slaughter), so it was impossible how to judge things when we played real teams. We've got our work cut out for us now (Sphere, Orangebloods, Hitmen, Roughnecks).

yea i had a handful of double coverage catches, and 2 PDs that i grabbed back lol - not sure how he came up with a lot of the catches, but ill take it

btw if you didnt check the play by play we ended the game on your 12 - got into the redzone with a fresh set of downs and 1:48 left on the clock so if we were down (or adv tactics were set) we would have squeeked out at least 3 more

I'm just shocked my running back had such a good game. The first two scrimmage games he was being treated like a bitch. Only the fifth 100+ yard rushing game of his career.

Yeah, didn't even mention the # of tipped passes on 3rd downs that those WRs came up with. That was demoralizing. That game just wasn't meant to be.

Oh yeah, knew about the last points being possible, but any team would run out the clock in that situation.

Side Note : D'wayne Bates has already done more in 1 game of GLB than in his entire NFL "career". (Oh wait... all the Bears fans are gone now...)

I think they may have tweaked things abit before the first game. We ran much better than in the scrimmages but I'm not sure if that was due to the opponents or not but the HB's just seemed quicker. It may have been caused by turning game energy back on.

Hey, lay off my boy D'Wayne, he put up 689 yards and 4 TD playing opposite Moss in 2002. He always had injury problems, never quite hit his stride.

I care more about what he did for Northwestern anyways as my avatar and player theme suggests. I'd have had a few more, but someone had Otto Graham, Luis Castillo and Barry Cofield already.

That was meant to be a Bears jab. I forgot they're not around. We had a blast discussing Cedric Benson on these boards during season 3.

Obviously he was talented in college... but lots of those "track star" WRs have issues in the NFL, Bates wasn't the first, won't be the last.

Whatever happened to Autry ? I remember hearing something about acting... but I forget.

By the way, anyone else amused at the Favre-centric news on ESPN these days ?
Gotta love the media these days... inundate you with as much coverage as possible on the same topic. I miss the days when ESPN was actually good for something.

Autry tried to get into acting but wasn't doing well at all. After another brief cameo in the NFL he ended up going back to school (must have been a bitch no longer being a scholarship athlete) and I'm pretty sure he's working in real estate for Roger Staubach right now. That can't be going too well either at the moment given the market.

New team, Oregon Ducks, just got moved to this league. Down from AA.
