In that Maine/NO game my level 3 (during the game), yes level DT got a tackle and a forced fumble. I can't believe he did that! That was such a great game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for more of these great games.

i didnt think we had it in us either. it was a good game...

After looking at the scores again....then looking at the standings for both conferences...then looking at the activity in our threads...and, finally, comparing it all to the other A leagues (albeit unscientifically), I've come to the following hypothesis:

USA A5 is the TOUGHEST A league in the game!

Who's with me?

Count me in for that vote!

It will be an interesting game between Oakland and Ferris State next up. It's getting very crowded mid way up the ladder. Could go a long way to deciding who makes the playoffs this year.

Dude, look at our lineup versus yours. You are selling yourself way short
Your team is equal in level to ours. We got off to a horrific start (thanks largely to your defense, btw) and the offense just was lost - just never got on track.

One thing I am taking from this is this: our defense is great. It's going to only be better as the season goes on, but we were battered today and we still held pretty strong.

Our offense needs fine tuning, especially the line. It's hard though, we've got a couple of starters who haven't boosted yet, that'll help somewhat.

Indeed. I was telling Bountyhunter that I really think the days of easy street for the top teams are rapidly coming to an end. Teams in the 5-10 range are finally getting rosters filled out...

Agreed. At this rate, even getting the #1 seed won't be a bargain.

There's still a gap between the top 3-4 teams and the next 4-5, but that gap's getting smaller. The thing is the way the game is set up, if our teams can stay together, that gap is going to get even smaller next season. Right now, I don't think you can be totally safe counting any game as a victory. We have a tough road to travel to hang on to one of the last playoff spots.

Exactly. Teams like mine got off to a fast start due to strong organization and what not, and I'm still supremely confident in virtually my entire roster over the really long term...

but that doesn't change the fact that another team can have an offensive line averaging level 11.5 or 12, and our D-Line is simply not close to that.

We can have fantastic linebackers but Carl banks made 14 tackles but each one still resulted in a 3-4 yard gain. Tuscaloosa dominated the line of scrimmage on offense. I haven't looked on defense for them yet, but I'm guessing something similar happened.
We have a ton of quality active owners/agents but if they made a guy for Footstar in season 2, they can't magically become level 12 overnight

I'm in two USA A leagues, and the other just doesn't compare to ths one. I love playing in this league. I owe a thanks to everyone that helps make this the most competitive and active league I know of.

Ok Merc, here we go. This will be a good test for the Ground Pounders. I have sent a special dinner for "The Planet" to eat tonight before the game. If he comes up ill before tomorrows game i had nothing to do with it. Just coincidence you know (haha)

Looking forward to our game (against Ketchikan), should be a good one. All scouting reports are in and Spiked tells me he is ready for you.

He's not, but it should be a good game anyway.

- Live games may no longer be watched. In their stead, I've created a javascript version of the replay page to reveal plays slowly. You can reach this by clicking "view" for your last game

So, no more live games
