Never would have thought balance was the thing causing this. Seems neglecting skills outright have a bigger cost now, which I kinda like.

I like the idea of the changes, but come on Corndog...don't you think this is too much? Or am I missing something here?

LMAO! That is the funniest thing I have ever seen in a game.

I have totally ignored balance as much as any agent the last 5-7 seasons or so, but to make balance so vital now without any progression is just . . . . .

leading to hilarity.

His balance was so off it was as if he were completely hammered. Something I would expect more from one of DeeVee8's guys.

I'm sure I'll laugh eventually. Just not today.

I guess we can just stop running the ball and pass every down like AA does :\

Also, what about the morale being overboard? Seeing both teams ready to die mid-way through the 2nd quarter is silly.

I agree, my S* HB in Soph can't do anything and I bumped his balance to 30 already. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/515317/592833 ... How high does the balance need to be for a HB to be effective? Last season he was at least averaging 100+ yards a carry, this is with him splitting carries with a 2nd HB

I'm mostly saying the balance skill, and being off balance because of it, can cause some serious slowdown. Though a few bugs in the code will make it pretty...inconsistent. Fixing those inconsistencies will drastically swing the sim in another direction. Which leaves either keep the out of tune changes introduced in the offseason, or implement the fixes and drastically alter the sim after the season has started.

I totally understand balance needs to be a point for builds on falling down. But just running balance shouldn’t effect them falling down. Now if there is contact I agree balance should matter a ton! In contact balance important, no contact balance basically never should be in play as you wouldn’t need it. Also you don’t see CB falling down or moving slow with no balance? One player , the hb, be punished is flawed.

Like sov. Said nobody would be upset if you made a small adjust mid season as long as it’s told about. Try fixing small pieces at a time until the desired result is apparent

Out of curiosity have the tweaks to he SIM this season been the most controversial since the inception of the game?

Seem like most of the other seasons I have played, none of the changes have had such an impact on teams/builds.

cliffnotes for everyone wondering if it is balance causing these issues: its not, plenty of players with decent balance suffering the same issues and some players with no balance seem to be doing as good or better.

i believe the "stick in the mud" issue today was due to the heavy rain penalty to balance, i think the changes (which are already causing enough issues) plus the heavy rain combined to make the issues worse.

i would like to see if there are any HBs or WRs with very high balance, that had low morale, and still ran with no issues (my assumption is they still looked about the exact same as players with decent or no balance)

keep making tweaks and let the chips fall where they may. nobody is straight up killing it right now anyways and guys eventually want to build towards where the sim is gonna land, not where it currently is going to be changed.

mr reliable fired tons for me, which is kinda the usual, but it was probably masking the problems. dick tracy did stick in the mud a bit when his morale fell. but only on counter plays.
