I can't say it 'sucks' for me. I'm not getting paid but I get to relax for once. But I kinda forgot wtf I used to do in my free time, unless I was really just bored this often lol

Anyone use a neti-pot? We're at the part of the allergy season where, unless Im taking cetirizine every single day, it feels like I have a constant cold and headache. Even half the time I am taking cetirizine it doesn't work enough.

Does neti-potting really work? And can I just use regular distilled water or do I have to use saline?

I've used a neti-pot before, it actually works pretty good, at least temporarily not sure about long term.

You can use whatever you want, but regular water is going to burn like a mother.

That's perfect for me. I wouldn't expect it to be long term and if I flush as much shit out of my nose as I can so I can take less antihistamines I'd be happy. I really don't even mind the sneezing or coughing as much as I fucking loathe the itchy throat and constant sinus headache.

Followup questions:

1. Would it still work if your sinuses are really inflamed? Like could the saline still get in if the nasal cavity is almost swollen shut?
2. If yes, could I use cool saline to bring down inflammation?

Don't know on either. Not really an expert on it. Had a couple instances where the water took some pressure to push through, and have heard horror stories about it but I don't know. I never had issues with it.

Cool water would also be hella uncomfortable. I can only imagine a brain freeze from hell. I doubt it would do damage, but I'd just stick to the normal method before trying to mix it up.

If I work more than 4 days in a row I get burnt out and basically just stop giving a fuck about people. Which is bad because my entire job is giving a fuck about people's lives. My entire life is basically a big struggle of keeping myself sane enough to go work. Not because I don't love my job but because its incredibly stressful, mentally and physically demanding, and has that added level of sadness from having to hear so many completely messed up stories on a daily basis.

That's pretty standard customer service these days. I had a similar experience trying to cancel Sirius.

My allergies were terrible this year. Worst they have been. I've used a neti pot in the past before and still have it, and it never really worked. Has some temporary relief but wouldn't last longer then an hour if it even worked. No the saline doesn't get in if your nasal cavity is shut, but I have never tried cool water.

Right now I'm taking nasal steroids and haven't felt this good during allergy season in years. Edit: With a prescription and my insurance it only cost me $10 I got it about a month and a half ago and still haven't ran out. That's the way to go imo

this. the neti pot is useless if you are really stuffed up, the water just wont flow thru. i use a neti pot every once in a while if my nose is rally burning, but it really doesnt do much.

and Flownase is the best allergy relief i have ever tried. i use it every day now

That is simply amazing, on so many levels. Amazing that anyone stayed on the call that long, amazing that wage-slave would be motivated enough to continue the farce for so long, amazing that Comcast would tolerate the wage slave doing that (you know its not the first time he's done it), etc.

You act as though Comcast doesn't want their people to do this or somehow incentivize it.

Why would you think that's how they really operate?
