I know you told your guys 2 things before that game...

Run defense and wrap-Up tackles!

Good game.

I wasn't terribly worried about my defense, so much as I was about my offense.

I didn't think we'd have a great day offensively, but no points? It's not like we didn't gain some yards and get some drives going, we just kept stalling at the edge of FG range.

Wow!!!!!!! amazing games.

Tuscaloosa wins it in OT

Agressors hold on late to win by three

Maine NEARLY hands N.O. first loss of the season.

Best week of the season, BAR NONE.

Good luck.

And post some game links up! We all want to see the action as it goes down.

As long as I can make a game of it I will be happy. Do you really think the chemistry will help?

it won't help that much. The differential isn't that relevant.

If you play a team with low chemistry then it can definitely be a factor...but the difference b/t 80 and 70, especially with our defense being virtually 80, will be effectively nil.

This game is huge for us, if we win we pretty much are in the drivers seat as our final test will be week 15 against New Orleans.

The Chicago team in week 11 will be pretty tough, but I don't believe they have the balance or depth to compete with us on either side of the ball. Our team is so deep we aren't even looking for more players. We've got a level 10 LB coming in to help with the sub situation for this game...and after this game a level 12 FS who'll probably play some SS as well.

I've very happy with where our team is personnel wise, and at this point every week save for a couple I'm experimenting with tactics, knowing full well that it doesn't matter if you win by 24 or 54, finishing 16-0 is the only guarantee at a one seed here with the strength of the remaining undefeated teams.

edit: not to mention, a good portion of our defense hasn't boosted yet. Saving it for later

I did think it would help that much. I just hope I dont get blown out by 50 points.

Please, our teams are virtually equal levels.

I am cautious optimistic we'll win, but I'd anticipate something more along the lines of maybe 20 to 10, or 20-13.

See, I told you Rolling Tide - great job. Our turnovers killed us. Our backup QB managed to play half the game (stamina issues on our starter, I guess). Our offense had no continuity.

You guys managed the clock (ran the ball 49 times), and despite your kicker won it in OT 9-6.

Good luck against New Orleans next week.

It was my second game running the defense and my first as head coach. It's going to be a dog fight for those last couple playoff spots. Good game, man, but can't say I feel too bad for you. Wins have been scarce around here before this week. I'm going to try to keep it rolling, fine-tuning against Nashville before we have the Agressors coming to town too.

EDIT: Play of the day for me. New DE Heyman gets a pick, and he's not even dropped back into coverage: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=2809363

I'm looking down the scores for the day and wow.. Tide. I mean really surprised me. I didn't think the Tide had it in 'em. Also the league's leading rusher held to 20 yards is a pretty impressive display of defense.

Very good set of games this week. Footstar goes down, Vegas is shut out, and NO almost loses Maine.

Great game Longhorns, you had me worried.

Keep your head up lance. 2-4 in 6 is rough and you have the Aggressors and Oakland coming up. Your only a little back from the 8th playoff slot. Good luck.

Thanks, I didn't think we'd win it. But as good as our D is I thought we had a good chance to keep it close. Though to be honest I didn't think it'd be as close as it was.

If today was any indication, it should be an interesting second half of the season.
