Again, not sure yet, but I have had safeties snagging INTs in most of the scrims so far.
My guess? Change to receivers facing ball. TEs were catching a lot of balls thrown to them in stride with a defender facing the ball in position and just getting beat anyhow. It seems receivers always get the first roll if both players are within a certain distance of each other, even if the defender has better positioning. It’s either that or defenders catch radius is just smaller than a receivers, which wouldn’t make sense with some of the snags I’ve seen.
Either way, TE passes over the middle will be harder, catching inaccurate passes you have to adjust on will be harder, and if TEs don’t just automatically snag those ducks- Safeties are going to have a good time.
