Which was the point I made when I spoke about music piracy being down because of viable affordable legal solutions like pandora.

You have a kid. Are you going to let him pick and choose what things in life he calls stealing and what things in life he calls not stealing, or are you going to tell him that he's not allowed to take things that belong to others without their permission?

As I said I admit I steal nfl games by streaming them illegally. As I said I'd gladly pay for Sunday ticket if I only get my local games but they currently black them out. I refuse to get cable TV again because it's a black hold and void of any content of substance. It's just reality TV now. Until they offer streaming with no blackouts I can't give them my money. So I stream for free illegally. Oh well.

You are right it is an excuse a valid one. I paid for cable TV for 15 years. It was always worth it. I no longer find it worth it and canceled the service. I want to pay someone to just watch local nfl games at home. No one offers that service so I'll take my 1 game a week any way I can.

Keep in mind that osmo is a dude who thinks stealing photos is fine but pointing out that someone is a drunk driving asshole is beyond the pale

Also photoshop is absolutely worth the price adobe charges for it and the reason you don't think so is you're such a casual you don't know it's productivity software

Can't you buy NFL Game pass and get all the games you want?

I pirate stuff quite a lot - but I make an effort to buy what I can legitimately. Massive shows like Game of Thrones we get 3 hours after the US gets it so I watch that on a paid TV subscription... but 90% of shows either dont get shown down here or are months and months (sometimes years) behind, so I dont feel too bad about pirating stuff that I can't obtain otherwise.

But if you aren't making an effort to legitimately obtain content that is readily available to you - how is that any different to flogging something from a shop?
