No, you're wanting to run a marathon against less experienced players and start yourself at the last 20 yards. Seriously, think about it from outside your own team bubble. You're mad that your stadium is going away if you decide to go it at a lower level. The 31 other owners in the league are mad that you're coming into their playground with a head start.

Then why not get rid of demotions and level caps all together and after every season shuffel the teams into leaques where they are all close to evenly mtached yes this would create more work but would would help even the playing fields much much more

ha, honestly I've agreed with a lot of what you guys have been doing lately.

I know I'm pretty critical at times, but you and Catch have really been doing a lot of good work.

Who are you and what did you do with the real Bukowski?

Can someone run an IP check? I think he sold his account.

trying downers instead of uppers tonight. He'll be back tomorrow at 2 AM

Why don't you leave the current leagues and rules as is, and let it die over time, no new teams, consolidate season to season until it's dead, while the new league with everyone starting at a level playing field works it's way out of the cloud into the upper league structure we see today, teams that deserve to be there. Use the new rules there and this essentially is the "reset" people have wanted, and suppressing the rich get richer mentality.

I'm all for the change, I just think its an error to deal with the problem on one front (future) and disregard the same problem on the other front (past)...but I digress

Starting over? Hardly.

I have two teams full of players who are being grown to become a great team. I have built a stadium and saved every penny to set that team on a good path.

Now all that planning and work and flex are USELESS.

This policy states flat out the answer is NO.

And to not apply it to everyone is just plain wrong.

you are aware this stadium reset is only for demoting teams right O_o

There haven't been new teams in a long time. Some sold back teams have been recycled and others wiped.

I like the change to where money for players and teams really doesn't mean anything that important in the scope of drastically effecting the sim (like EQ did).

I think it can work well getting "bling" and stuff like that. MMORPGs and other games are filled with little things like that for "completists". Mini games involving cash or something else to fill out a player trophy case thing or to allow cooler looking equipment or depending on how advanced the flash replays are, maybe something to allow the teams/players to change their looks on the field to personalize things a bit more.

All that could be good for the game and add extra interest for people. Obviously it will be most important for people to win games, but also something for player only agents to mess around with and add a personal touch. The NBA video games i know have things like unlocking new sneakers and hair styles and other superficial things. RPGs have people hunting for treasure/relics that don't necessarily make their player better but more personalized or get a sense of accomplishment/achievement.

Having a person dedicated to additions like that would be nice. Obviously the most important thing is to keep fixing the sim, competitiveness, the reasons behind guts/mergers, AI being more streamlined and common sense, and fixing bugs/exploits and just bettering the game. Having one person on the other stuff is a great idea though. I have other ideas i'll need to post in the suggestions forum in the future as i do believe GLB can be a more fun entertaining place for people

Which is bogus, because if you cap the money, I get very little to no bonus at all. Especially because salaries are never an issue on the cashflow, only gear is.

And Gear doesn't get stupidly priced until the 40s.

So you're killing us all over an imaginary advantage. On top of that, if you're really considering removing cash totally, then what is the point? None.

You're saying "Thanks for all the hard work and effort and money, now let me take that away, have a nice day.".

Especially since the new archetype rules are making every current player damn useless. We have no choice but to drop down or we'll all be fielding CPUs. But if we field CPUs, we automatically drop! Now you've gone and ate your own tail.

I dont think anyone is opposed to new rules and systems being implemented. These gutting rules, collusion rules, and new player builds are all needed and awesome. Its the way they are being dropped on top of the old system thats the problem.

Round pegs and squares holes.
