Ethics problem for you guys:

So Im starting my new job in a liquor store, which will be my first actual w-2 job. It's not my first choice but I'm not in a place to be picky. Shortly after I accept their offer, but before even my first day, I get an offer from a pharmacy which is much more in line with what I want to do. Would adding 2 jobs immediately and letting them work around each others schedules be acceptable? I don't want to turn down a job but if I were to do so, it'd be the liquor store, whom I'm just short of a contract with. How bad would it be to tell the liquor store no at this point?

Does not appear to be an ethical issue at all, just a scheduling issue.

Still new to scheduling and W2 work lol. It used to be whoever called first got me for their project and I worked 9-7 or 8-6 daily till it was done.

The only unethical thing you could do is accept the job at the liqour store and not show up, otherwise tell them no if they cant work around your schedule...not a big deal really its just a fuckin liqour store

If someone offers under minimum wage while I'm training, is that legal? I can't find anything that dictates trainee pay

The stoner I replaced took just under a month to get full shifts and closing. My 3rd shift before I even completely finished training was a full close.

He still doesn't know why they're letting him go.

Worried I might have broken my hand at work tonight. Had a rough time getting some our resident boys to calm down and got it slammed into a wall. I'm honestly more worried about doing the workman's comp paperwork and having to miss time than anything else.

Thinking about re-working my employee compensation to include an hour bonus for being on time. Kinda concerned it will create more of a hassle and resentment than it is worth, though. For instance, someone shows up 15 minutes late, then wants to be prorated or feels the need to give an excuse.

The jokes themselves were pretty good, I've just heard most of them already. Not the Ghandi one though, had a strong chuckle.

sounds like you have a culture issue

Being on time or showing up as you please is tied to culture and expectations.
