Ahhhhhh Yeeeaaaahhhhh!!!!

Time to start making my ascent back to the top. Take down several legends at once.

One game at a time.

Megatron is the key to this offense.

I'm curious to see if he can make scrambling out of the pocket a thing. Anything but Almost Never setting completely blows in rookie, as well as vs certain defenses. But if used in the right spots, maybe it could work? It'd fail hard against ZEB (pressure coming from both sides, he'd walk into a free sack), Zone D's, etc. But yeah, the SP cost of footwork/sprinting plus the QB tactic seems like it'd be really tough to have a competent offense.

Trips Left against Over Will and the HB picks up the blitzing ROLB? That seems like about it. He'd need a phenomenal pass blocking RT though.

The plan is to keep 'QB Roll Out Frequency' set to 'Almost Never' and 'QB Scramble Frequency' set to 'Often'. I have noticed that even when 'Roll Out' is set to 'A.N.', the QB still will roll out of the pocket if things break down, but he never 'rolls into sacks'. Most of my scrambles should be up the middle when an opening occurs.

His planned QB runs will drop when my FBs start getting more carries. In later tiers, 5 players will be running the ball (2 HBs, 2 FBs, QB).

Oh...and check out who is #1 in the MVP Race in Whiskey:

As for having a quality passing O with a running QB, I think Skeletor's final skills for passing and rushing will be solid. I'll list a few of his final skills:

Footwork: 55
Quick: 60
Sprint: 70

Pass Tech: 70
Pass Con: 70
Pass Acuracy: 75
Pocket Awr: 70

I'd suggest dropping some of those physicals to increase his passing ones. What's his Pass Power? Assuming you've got good enough caps for the passing skills to increase without spending boosters, you've got a bunch of time to figure it out.

Rushing FB's right now aren't worth it, you should be campaigning Corndog/Bort for more of those plays. Right now the Virgins rushing S* FB is an offensive afterthought and short yardage guy inside. Not really an offensive option.

I do think you should experiment with changing the roll out frequency based on opponent. Could be nice if you know pressure is only going to come from 1 direction.

Low passing power. Power is overrated. I've seen other decent QBs with about the same passing skills. I like his physicals cause he will still use his legs. He needs the footwork and high pocket awareness to move around the pocket and hopefully scramble. I think pocket awareness helps the QB decide when to scramble.

And my FBs will be power runners but still can lead block. So they can run out of any formation while my HB will have blocking skills too.

I think there's a few plays and situations where low pass power is OK, with 100 speed receivers that get crap tons of reception, on brownfield breaking routes away from coverage. Besides that, you need that power. You need a lot of it. Although there does seem to be a linkage between power and accuracy, the more power you have the more accuracy is needed.

What are you sacrificing in order to do this? Also, the Virgins S* FB has 100 power, not working the best for him right now.

Just let him do his thing. Lots of people have tried to advise GE, but he thinks he knows best.

I do agree with you though. He inexplicably took no S* FB or HB and is trying to build balanced runners/blockers on both. Phase III incoming.

My passing offense will be:

1. short passes to Megatron and let him break tackles and get YAC.
2. long passes to Starscream who will have a ton of speed, quick, rte elu, rte tech and gold head fake.

Run block power and speed.

It's not only about "power". It is a combination of the FB running out of different formations plus a lead blocking HB.

1. Do the Virgins have a fast, lead blocking HB?
2. Do the Virgins play the S* FB in every formation or just Goalline?
