We know that the inside run game is OP right now. We know that people are unhappy with it. As is always the case, we evaluate the sim and feedback that users give and make changes based upon that feedback. This was the case this last season - we overstepped a bit with the changes we made and went too far in one direction. We've been trying to balance the sim so that we could move out of Beta. Obviously this season's updates did not accomplish that. It's a fine line trying to get this game to work to the point where the majority of people are pleased. We felt like we had been making steps forward in accomplishing this and apologize for the step back that we took this season.
As we have always done in the past, we will work to balance the game. However, as has been our policy for sometime, we tend to not make massive changes mid season because people can not make the necessary adjustments for those changes.
For those of you that are saying that we don't care and that we aren't paying attention - we do and we are. We always have. The reason we've made so many changes to the sim is because we do pay attention and we do try to respond to what our users say in order to make the game one that they enjoy. The changes we made this past season were for the large part based off of user feedback that we had received. Same for the changes that were made the previous season.
If you have feedback you'd like to provide as far as things you think we need to work on besides the obvious fix it to where inside running isn't so good then please feel free to post in this thread. I can't promise you that we'll implement your idea, but I can promise that I will at least read it and if it makes sense and I think is something that is feasible, I will suggest it to Bort.
My personal apologies for the sim you've had to suffer through this season. As someone who suffered through season 8, I know it's not much fun to watch runs up the middle all game. I'll do what I can to make sure we improve upon it in the future.

- Fixed a bug causing run-blocked defenders to frequently have a tackle-making score of zero or near zero instead of the intended penalty
Run game may have just got nerfed!!

lol, so typical.
I'm not a fan of the S28 Sim by no means and I don't enjoy running the ball up the gut 75 times per game. But for my run oriented team, that's what works. Because Outside rushing is a joke since the nerf to blocking 2 seasons ago. Passing is a coin flip at best, with the nert to pressuers forcing bad throws.
So now we get the mid season bomb without notice. I know they claim it's a bug fix, but the numbers speak for themselves with DT tackles going through the roof. And this was brought on by the on slaught of complaints. No D should be able to consistently stop a Run team with a 3-4 vs a Big I with a blocking FB & blocking TE for less than 3 yards. The D should be forced to putting more guys in the box. That's how football works. Force the Offense into doing something else.
So now it'll be interesting to see, but making a dramatic change mid season is just frustrating as hell. What worked all season to get my team to 9-2 could now be irrelevant, and I may have to completely revamp my offense without being able to reset VAs or the SPs spent this season working toward the run game.
It's been typical GLB though, no one should be surprised.

Nice, my 2 earlier games vs GD Muncie. 3.4 yards per carry and 3.9.
Today after Nerf, 1.0.
GG GLB.

I kind of found a decent Defensive Balance and tweaked Stinkyfish's OAI for AJ game today since Stinky went to the Caribbean without me!

I wanted to start a new Team and do something to make things interesting again but after what the Ocean City Crabs were allowed to do this Season in our League, What is the point? Am I and alot of Agents going to spend all those hours of time and all that money Boosting just to get up there and every Season be like this one was? Is there always going to be a Team that beats the System and ruins it for everyone involved? How are things like this allowed to happen? They need a Mod in the League Structure Branch looks to me like!!!

It's one season out of your career. If you're building a team to shoot for Reg Pro then yeah, don't bother.
Next season most of us will be moving on to Nat Pro and leaving those e-peen teams behind to jerk themselves off at how they can beat teams 10-15 levels lower while we go for real competition.
