Here is a line from the scout that will do you the most good. Fix this and you improve a ton.

stick with the same patterns in personnel usage that makes it easy to scout them and set defenses

GG back at ya. You took some gambles that didn't work so well, but otherwise your D was pretty solid. It's just once your morale started down we began to rack up the points. I'm sure we will see lots of each other in the coming seasons on our path to the WL.

I stick by my initial assessment, these guys are the toughest team in the League we will play.

We played you closer. Only games we lost were due to lack of depth. We are overhauling our roster and have if filled with experienced agents, so if we did what we did with inactives and poor builds, I can't wait to see what we do with a better squad.

Of all the Rookie League teams we played, your D was one of the best. Your Team wasn't. It showed in scouting.

i was holding out for more votes, but apparently they aren't coming. just got back from renting a car for a few trips I'm taking next week and finished lunch. give me a few to compile and post!

Yep, out of necessity. We kept it non-boosted throughout our conference as no one else boosted. The other conference ruined the party early.

Clarka3, I hope we end up in the same League again next season. Not a whole lot of guys that go through the efforts to put extra stuff in anymore. Maybe get lucky and get one of those guys that does write ups too. Probably could use a good smack talker also.

Go up against an experienced OC that knows the game and you will see. I used to run the 3-4 exclusively. Did so for 8 seasons, so I speak from experience. Good OCs on good teams will run inside at a 3-4 and commit the offense going 4 downs and seldom punting. The result will be they keep possession of the ball and win a low scoring game. Then when Bort changed the SIM and implemented the new D play creator he put the nail in the coffin. Now the average teams will beat the 3-4. Here in rookie leagues all the Dots are so slow with so little carry that tackling has the advantage over carry so you can get away with it to some extent, but it will hurt you in the playoffs.

The 3-4 is no longer viable as a primary D, it's only good for passing D and special situations.
