If you leave your playoff fate up to another team, then suck it and accept whatever position you get. The other team isn't playing for you, and shouldn't have to do anything that would give you a better advantage. Some of you call it poor sportsmanship to throw a game. I call it great strategy. Screwing some other teams while maintaining your playoff position....I see absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Animusmax just should have kept it to himself.

animusmax did the wrong thing but is a good guy who meant no harm. Ultimately, like real football as well as life, if you leave your fate in the hand of others, you are at the whims of someone else. I know firsthand he meant no harm, and tries to do the right thing. The guy made an honest mistake. If I was held accountable for all the mistakes I've made, I wouldn't stand a chance anywhere in life.
Be thankful we have owners that care enough to persevere. Move on, mend fences, and win. Bottom line is you have to run the playoffs anyway, so seeding only matters so much.
I don't know about you but the only water I've ever walked on was frozen

I respect you Bling but I don't agree with this. It's a scumbag move which makes me have zero respect for people that do this . I would've been fine if he didn't change his gameplan the whole regular season but the guy blatantly shut his AI off which affected the outcome of games that meant something. I'm not trying to take credit away from teams that won the games cause I'm sure the could have won the games anyway but what happened is unsportmanslike in this game any way you cut it. To me this is nearly as bad as past teams gutting entire rosters to get money in the old system.

Some people view this as a smart strategy to disguise your AI which I think is stupid cause teams will easily see what you ran during meaningful games anyway.

This is completely different from real life football where teams rest guys and play backups for health reasons so there is no comparison.

It was educational for me at least cause now I know what certain agents are about and gives me a reason to never play for them. I'll move on like I always do and put my best foot forward. Good Luck to all the teams that play the game the right way.

I loved playing for you before Roy, so if you ever get a team again, I'll revive Johnny Unitas and come win a trophy with you again!!

I definitely miss those days of owning and running TNT. If I ever got the time to do it again I'll let you know.

Interesting read. There is much I agree with and disagree with. Not involved in APL this season directly so not going to go into tons of detail. I have been involved in GLB for quite sometime some of you may know me some may not. Either way I am not going to defend or attack any actions but will defend the agent. Animusmax is a stand up guy with a life who enjoys dotball and sports among other things. Did he make a mistake? maybe/maybe not. In the end he made a decision he felt was best for his team. Does this mean that decision was best for other teams most likely not. Does this mean it was unsportsmanlike? maybe/maybe not. Of course it would be unsportsmanlike to the teams impacted by the decision (or at least that argument could be made). However, fact remains the decision (whether right or wrong) was made specifically looking at the best interest of Philly NOT the best interest of other teams.

still don't understand how announcing you're throwing a game and then actually following through is in the best interest of your team.

This post was so vague, that it would have made Obama jealous that he hadn't posted it.

Animusmax can make whatever decisions he wants for his team since he is the one paying the flex for the team. Is that less vague?

GG Canton. Felt like we covered the spread, at least.
