MEM is the exact same team, the Drinkin loss proves that I am lazy as hell. Coach said tourneys didn't mean shit to him this season so I didn't change out the AI last night before I went to sleep. Drinkin's Defense had gaping holes in it that I could have thrown all over had I actually GPed. Yea, I know lolexcuses but lolscrimmages too.

I stand by our defense schedule. We've taken on the toughest possible opponent up until this point.

We scheduled our Windhoek game last season before the mentor bug hit so we were walking into a buzzsaw.
We scheduled a SEAPL game in order to grant the Cincy Shockers (GOAT to some) a chance at the trophy because we had to get a SEAPL chance out of the way first.
We played Cincy at the end of the season last year who had the best resume possibly ever.
First defense this season we played HHW who at the time had a stellar resume.
Second defense this season was against MM who until they lost to us and subsequently to Nashville were pretty clearly one of if not the top Pro team at the time of the game.

Who would you have rather us play that we haven't already beaten this season? Our only possible league games that could be double counted were Windhoek again, Edinburgh and Berlin Devine Right. We could have possibly asked to play Santiago, but I'm sure we'd hear it that the same teams get shots at the trophy.

While I dislike Bonn picking OTR as their Zeta challenge (should have been Drygerian - never had a shot (1), non USA-Pro team (2), one of the best there are (3) - OTR clearly fails at 2 and possibly fails at 3), I think WoC can't be accused of ducking the best teams. The simple fact that they played Pa Dong on day 33 last season (which allowed them not to defend their title until day 41, meaning they could have easily kept it for all preseason simply by using their right not to defend their title before the deadline) and still defended the trophy against the Shockers (best atm) has to count towards WoC's and Bonn's good faith. They look like nice guys that are really concerned with providing the community with the best games possible. I would call their defense against OTR an "honest mistake".
