I can attest to this being true.

I backed off to 96 spd/92 agi on my CB. It was funny watching him stick to a speed WR like glue, make an int, and suddenly start running like his knees were bad. The entire offense outran him immediately as soon as he was out of man coverage.

I won't even get into the 14 knocked loose passes from this game:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=712839 And how that is complete bullshit...

But that play really shows that there are some real problems with the coding. This guy has not only caught the ball, he's making a football move upfield, and even trying to put a juke on the defender, but 2 yards after he makes the catch it gets knocked loose.

Again, WR's need an extreme discount in this game with this fucking bullshit.

1) WR has to somehow get open - beat the CB
2) WR has to then get targeted by the QB (a joke that needs its own thread)
3) WR has to get by the defenders "deflection" roll
4) WR has to pass his own "catch" roll
5) WR has to overcome the defenders "knocked loose" roll

#5 is the biggest p.o.s. ever introduced to GLB, bigger than the super d-line nerf of whenever, and no one seems to give a shit. We had 26 balls knocked loose in a single game last year... a TE who is a receiving monster on the team I OC dropped 47 balls last year. Forty-fucking-seven! And that TE is sitting on more carrying than any other elite TE I've seen. To put that in perspective he dropped more in 1 season as he did in his previous 5 seasons. Oh, and he's maxed out on Mr. Reliable (let's just make Mr. Reliable work on 1st/2nd/3rd/4th... the defenders have jackhammer good for all four downs)

If you're going to have all this knocked loose crap, then we need to see more absolute misses by the CB when going for it that gives up a big gain or a TD. To leave it how it is for another season (this will be the second and a half season that it comes into play... it was introduced mid S9 with no announcement - classy way to sneak it in) is a fucking joke... what do receivers need? 60 carrying to reduce this effectively? 70? Give me a number if nothing else.

FYI - "Cover Up" helps with this according to the staff. Any elite receivers/TE's going with that one?
try more catching/carrying and less crying

Listen to this guy. He has 3 players. A SS, FS and CB all in the minors.

The change were that a) Jackhammer was added and b)it stopped just showing up as "deflected by crappy corner" and c)it started counting as a drop. Pretty sure each change happened in a different season. But the mechanics of it were in place season 1.

Right, "it stopped showing up... and it starting counting as a drop..." that's all that happened, that must be true!

I use math that sees the bigger picture.

You can leave your first season with both speed and carrying capped. By level 24 you can have speed 4:1 and carrying will be 3:1. Carrying will be in the 70's in the long run, and it only cost you the initial cap at level 3.

What math are you doing? You are saying .5 is less than .33. If you are going to put points into carrying, you get more out of those points in the long run than you well from speed. You only lose 1 or 2 points from speed by capping carrying before speed. Once it is capped, it will gain much faster than speed ever will.

Then 4th/5th cap carrying and problem solved. Oh wait, your WR won't have any speed/agility/catching/vision/jumping, my bad.

I would imagine you do have less tears if you spend them all crying about people crying.

70 carrying is more than most power backs have. Are you saying that WRs should need more carrying than RBs?

You're a fucking moron in pathetic leagues with a pathetic track record, so congrats on your crowning achievement in GLB is getting me to respond to your trolling. You should spend less time on the message boards and more time slitting your wrists for making such shitty dots. FS with 12 deflections in a season? Wow, Benoit urself.

Good powerbacks have that much carrying though

You can 4th/5th cap carrying in the long run by level 3. That 30 points will be the last time you train or spend anything on it. You guys aren't very good at math. The whole point of cap building is to save SP in the long run. Anything that is .5 saves more than .33. I'm done trying if you guys don't understand this.
