The problem is, he loses all of his speed, and has to cut horizontally across the field to pull off that fake.

In GLB, players never break course...so having the entire defense fall down is kind of ridiculous.

Chrono please read the thread before coming in and making generalizations on what people are trying to say. It makes you look ignorant when you are spewing total crap. I am saying that the recent change just isn't correct because multiple guys can be faked at one time...and I think Bort is agreeing and this was just a temporary solution.

Fair enough. Still agree on faking multiple targets at once with ONE move.

As it currently stands, the HB is constantly "Juking" targets as he moves.

We can post highlight reels ALL DAY of HBs juking multiple targets with the same move.

Yea I agree, when GLB players do fakes especially ones like jukes, they should lose more speed in doing it which is why agility should be very high.(because it goes into acceleration and COD ability)

Wouldn't juke firing when players changed direction be better? Say every time the player changes direction at more than a certain angle, the player rolled for a juke.

This would also make jukes be much more useful the higher on the elusive slider you went.

Edit - head fakes should require less of a cut, but have less chance of working. Jukes require more of a cut, but higher chance of them working.

Oh I've always agreed with that, however, you will then have the "why the hell was my dot faking instead of running down the field", and fakes possibly hurting the build. SA's that kill your player would be nasty.

However, I guess it could be worked in. For example, super elusive, every "cut" could have a juke/head fake roll or something that makes the defenders fail their next vision check, or make it really difficult to pass (which would result in defenders keeping going the same way).

Of course, that would be a MAJOR rehaul, but meh.

I think it is important to note that this change is only one SUCCESSFUL fake per tick, not one fake chance per tick.

I don't understand. Expand on that bro.

Let's say 5 guys are about to tackle you...you don't pick one to try and fake and that's the only fake you'll try....you will start trying them until you fake one guy or you've failed against all of them.

You don't get one fake chance per tick, you only get one success per tick.

Yeah that is what I thought too... But my back isn't faking people like he was. Just the mere number of successful fakes in any run is significantly reduced right now. That is what I asked Bort if he changed the successful roll value or if he modified the bonus that the Head Fake or Juke SA. But he confirmed he didn't touch any of the bonuses... So I can't explain why my guy isn't faking defenders anymore?

Well of course SAs shouldn't "kill" your player but when someone makes a successful juke move, they have usually either stopped or slowed down and made a quick cut so they shouldn't have the same speed the entire time, they should lose some speed after making the move then have to accelerate again.

He did elude to more vision checks being required. That may account for what we're experiencing.

The major problem with this is higher vision turns elusive backs into retards.... but at least they'd be juking retards.

I was referring only to tauran using youtube highlight clips which are....highlights, not to mention that other things are going on in those clips that don't happen in GLB like DB already mentioned with the speed thing. Multiple guys can be faked at once, but not in a tenth of a second while maintaining almost 100% speed

So you're saying you want GLB to be boring? Every play should have the potential to be a highlight, imo.

Potential? Yes.
6 times a game? No.

Why not? It makes for interesting sims. This goes for defense as well, of course.

I'm not sure how we got off on a tangent again as this has nothing to do with the actual mechanics of a juke.

Exactly this is why I'm saying to reduce the frequency of jukes and tie them to player cuts/movement. You should try actually reading all my post next time...
