Anyone had ridiculous vertigo when taking even the lowest strength of vicodin? It's 5-325 which is basically nothing but every time I take it, it gives me intense coldsweats that make it look like I just showered, followed by hot sweats where a 75 degree room feels like it's 90, and finally the nausea and room spinning to the point I can't even leave the floor of the bathroom.

I'd stop taking it entirely but my fractured tooth still hurts at the base where the root canal ended, and eating makes it hurt worse. So it's take it rq after I eat and feel sick off my ass like I'm on chemo, or don't take it and feel like I got Chris Browned every time I eat.

wat do?

Edit: What's weird is I've had much stronger stuff when I was well younger, and that did nothing except give me dry mouth

Suck it up and live with the pain. Take Ibuprofen and Tylenol.

Hydrocodone is actually my only allergy (mild, but an allergy nonetheless). I get the sweats, itch, and the dizzyness. However, the dizzyness is typically when sitting at the computer.... but only with LCD screens. CRT monitors I have no dizzyness issue with oddly enough.

You might try asking for Tramadol next time you get prescribed pain pills, I only get very mild itching from it and none of the other side-effects.

Phenergan will alleviate your mentioned symptoms, but if you also get nausea I would suggest Ondansetron instead.

That's what my dog with an arthritic knee takes.

If you use your cell phone as a primary contact number in the business world, anyone calling that number should *never* get the recording saying "The number you have reached has a voicemail box that is full and cannot take messages". Nothing says "I don't really take my business seriously" like that recording.

Corollary--your outbound message shouldn't say "I'll be out of the office until June 9th" if today's date is June 10th or later.

Actually have a lot of ondansetron left from an illness last summer where I couldn't stop throwing up enough for them to take CT of my lower abdomen. That stuff works ridiculously good. Forgot I had it, started taking it the last couple times I took the vicodin. Tooth/jaw still hurt but now that the swelling and abscess are mostly gone it's workable without vicodin

Tramadol knocks me the fuck out for ~12 hours and makes me groggy the next day. Any time I have a real surgery surgery I'll be asking for it

I can take 2 Tramadols and just have a light to medium buzz. It would take 4+ to knock me out and even then that might not be enough.

They absolutely destroy me. One of the only medicines that has ever had full (or more) effectiveness on me. I exhausted my supply long ago but I had to be wary of taking them, I absolutely did not move once I had one. Woke up multiple occasions with a horrible pain in my neck, back, shoulder, and other assorted joints from falling asleep on them wrong

A combo of morphine and higher-dose oxycodone when I was 15 for a ruptured eardrum was quite nice. I mean the ruptured eardrum itself was goddamn awful and I about knocked myself out so I didn't have to feel it pre-hospital visit but once it healed up and I had a bit of oxycodone left, it was a nice few days.

Fun fact for those interested in astronomy and coincidences, it's Friday the 13th and there is a full moon. This is quite a rare coincidence, the next such pairing will be August 13, 2049.
