looks like there is a gap betwen 1 - 3 to 4 - 6 and 4 - 6 to 7 - 9 in the East.

I think the west has a comparable difference in the 1-4, 5-8, 9-16 range, but we won't know until later in the season.

I feel confident the top 3 will stay top 3 and shuffle around based on their games with each other. While the rest of the conference will sort itself out in the coming games.

Ketchikan is doing well, but haven't faced the Pounders or the Blackshirts yet. I hope the Pounders hand the Blackshirts a loss to bring them down to our ranking as I think our team will be good enough to beat the Pounders at the end of the season when we face each other.

The west stands a good chance of having 3 15-1 teams when this is all said and done. With the Terminators leading in points scored we would get the #1 seed in the playoffs and you wouldn't hear me complain about that.

I just looked more indepth at your guys schedules. The Tide has a tough stretch coming up. The next 2 games for them WILL decide who the top 2 of the eastern conference are.

If the Tide can win both games they will set themselves solidly in first place. It would then be up to the rest of the teams to shake up the top 3 of the east.

You have a larger ratings disadvantage to the NYC, but you have a chemistry advantage over both teams.

Good luck.

And post some game links up! We all want to see the action as it goes down.

Right now, it appears that Virginia, Oakland, and Montreal are going to fight it out for the final two playoff spots. Oakland and Montreal may have a chance of getting higher than 7th, but I don't think we do. Looking at who we've all played, it appears to be pretty even now and going to come down to head to head matchups. That starts with Virginia/Montreal tomorrow. If any of the three can pull off an upset, that might ensure them a playoff spot.

Not sure about the rest of you owners/GM/Players - but I so much prefer this type of friendly banter than the --- "WE WILL DESTROY ALL - YOU ALL SUCK blah blah blah" .. that I have seen in other league threads.

Now with that said ... "WE WILL DES .." err wait, nevermind.

Luck to all in the second half of the season.

Oh and the Ground Pounders know we have one of the tougher final stretches remaining. Ketchekin, Nebraska, Vancouver, The Aggressors. Its going to be interesting for sure.

As long as I can make a game of it I will be happy. Do you really think the chemistry will help?

it won't help that much. The differential isn't that relevant.

If you play a team with low chemistry then it can definitely be a factor...but the difference b/t 80 and 70, especially with our defense being virtually 80, will be effectively nil.

This game is huge for us, if we win we pretty much are in the drivers seat as our final test will be week 15 against New Orleans.

The Chicago team in week 11 will be pretty tough, but I don't believe they have the balance or depth to compete with us on either side of the ball. Our team is so deep we aren't even looking for more players. We've got a level 10 LB coming in to help with the sub situation for this game...and after this game a level 12 FS who'll probably play some SS as well.

I've very happy with where our team is personnel wise, and at this point every week save for a couple I'm experimenting with tactics, knowing full well that it doesn't matter if you win by 24 or 54, finishing 16-0 is the only guarantee at a one seed here with the strength of the remaining undefeated teams.

edit: not to mention, a good portion of our defense hasn't boosted yet. Saving it for later

At the moment I'd have to say that there are 3 tiers among projected playoff teams - NY-CA and Nebraska in tier 1, Vancouver, Ketchikan, and Las Vegas in tier 2, and Waterloo, Kansas City, and San Jose in tier 3.

The reason I'm putting Vegas in tier 2 with a worse record than the other 2 is because they've already played BOTH Vancouver and NY-CA, while Ketchikan hasn't played either, and Vancouver hasn't played NY-CA.

Until we play the Pounders and the Pounders play the Blackshirts you can't really put us out of the top grouping.

*EDIT* I agree with the guy I quoted. My post was towards Warhawk.
