The issue to me is that Management is not seeing a difference in game player and "poster". They and some Mods see this place as more of a forum and less of a game.

How do you fix it?

Simple. Very.

Separate the two.

Contract or build a large forum community outside of the fence. Contracting would be better. Just get out of the forum business altogether. Find a way to pin game information at large within the fence and allow discussion to occur outside of it.

We do have specific rules, though, that have to be followed, like not harassing people or using racial slurs, over the top swearing, etc. We are attempting to move away from the wild-west mentality. I'm not against people having fun and trash talking each other, but I don't like seeing people being called "fags" for example.

So Im hoping all of this got worked out favorably? Again, I still haven't seen a proper apology from the guys at GLB, but I figure/hope one has been sent privately?

It's a big step in the right direction, I'm all for Bort defining a clear set of rules governing forums. In saying that, I hope Bort see's that many of us absolutely love the game that he and DD created and would hate to leave with the investments we have made into "said" game, but are willing to do so if the customers of GLB are never respected.

The paying customers essentially are the game... One player or 24 like me... no difference, no more importance than the next, but better customer service is in big need around here. Sooner or later players who feel disrespected will leave regardless of whether or not there is another future GLB game out there....
