Skeletor has improved dramatically after pumping balance and footwork.

70 balance and 35 footwork. Gonna get his footwork up to 40 and see if that is good enough. He isn't a combo back...more of a one cut and go back.

well, I'm only at 52 Balance, but 40 Foot... I plan on hitting 60 balance and see if combo with 40 makes it work... that's the style I'm shooting for too, one cut and go

My back has 52 Balance and 51 Footwork. Going for 65-70 Balance and maybe 60 Footwork and just see what happens. He still falls over every now and then - as well as still looks like he is stuck in mud running outside almost every time. Put him on Combo instead of elusive to try to cut it up instead of losing the race to the sideline. Also taking Mr. Reliable to gold maybe. Everything else in speed/quick + some elusive/awareness. Just not sure of the exact ratio between speed + quick I wanna try yet.

He has 51 Quickness now. I added a bit more quickness and sacrificed some speed to see if that helps him make a cut and go, but I think I need more elusive to make Juke fire more for that. Up to 54 balance and he is still falling down occasionally. Also scrimmaging with Elusive, slippery, et al. to see whats best atm for him. I don't really like Combo much.

I agree with this. This game is relatively cheap for an agent compared to other games, even your first player is free. The main issue is lack of engagement for agents. The HOF(basically GLB's leaderboard) is outdated, stats are minimal, and there's just not a whole lot to do for them to do. For team owners it's the opposite, this game is very engaging for them, but the lack of agents makes the cost of running a team go up, and causes holes when they go inactive or dropout.

Along time ago I had a conversation with Bort about this. Like 9 years ago there was a forum Bort opened up for people to have a direct conversation with him. I ended up pissing him off and was kicked, but that is another story.

Ultimately, I think the fundamental premise of the game is skewed. The game was designed around the idea that 20+ agents would make up a team. By season 4 it was obvious that would not hold. The game needed to change years ago to a system where it would cost about 250$ a year (player life cycle) to own and field a team. Getting 3-5 people together and then having a team that is tight nit is always where this game should have gone.

That solves the more long term problem of the game. People will be much more likely to stay if 2-4 friends are greatly impacted if they leave. then the entrance to the game needed to be improved. There should have been a few entry leagues that were run by agents for free. The teams would be free and only allowed to sign newer agents. The people running them would be there to help new agents and get them going in the right direction. After a few seasons many of them would fall into groups and purchase teams.

The issue is $1000 a year to run a team (GLB, not sure what it is in GLB2) is far to much. Even for 5 people the cost is high.

The sad reality is that the ship has sailed. I don't think Bort can undo what was done. The changes needed to be made almost a decade ago.

Lastly the cost to house the data is not going to be that much. Even the processing for the games can't be too expensive. $250 a team would have been fine. In the beginning though people were throwing money at this game and I am sure Bort had dollar signs in his eyes. I don't think he foresaw what we have now at the time. The writing was on the wall though. The game was never going to be able to sustain the cost long term. Sometimes people realize things to late and there is no way to turn back the clock though (assuming he has realized it).

My HB is really struggling this since changes. My balance/ footwork caps were not prepared for changes sadly

Well the answer is out there b/c I see some backs (very few) who run fine - at least against my team which is not saying much. Maybe it's stacking balance - I am going to find out.

You need at least 70 balance and 45 footwork to run like the past.

Well, I have 58 balance and 40 foot with my chemistry finally fixed and my HB as great improved the last game or so... I'll see how it is once we play some top teams though.
