In my ladder a couple games ago - I played the Miami Dolphins (seasoned heavy run team)

Stunners:
0 points
142 yards of offense
2.5 ypc on 52 carries
6 broken tackles
18 pancakes

Miami:
3 points
155.5 yards of O
4.2 yards per rush (they threw 14 times)
0 broken tackles
20 pancakes

Game 2: (I'm an idiot and made it private for no reason at all)
Stunners:
7 points (in garbage time)
140 yards of offense (suck game plan is suck - and my trailing O kicked in here where it didn't in game 1)
2.7 yards per carry
6 broken tackles
31 pancakes

Miami:
26 points
336 yards of offense
5.9 yards per carry
23 broken tackles
36 pancakes


No "proof" of a tweak here. They got better in every category by a lot. I got slightly better stats in some categories but not in others. Yes, their better stats and points could be directly related to a better/different offense.




more I think about it - probably nothing changed.

More scores by them = more kick offs - which probably equals more pancakes for both of us. Strangest thing is them going from 0 broken tackles to 23 - but could just be a tacklers morale spiral

I kinda just wanted to know by day 21 so I know whether or not to waste flex on trying to get to superstar tiers again.

I'd guess corndog would be changing some of the play definitions to fix outside blocking choices by WRs, but that's just my gut. We'd see that in the changelog if it happened.

in my scrim earlier - some of the WR blocking was horrendous...running past everyone out into the open field before realizing "crap! I knew I forgot something" and turning around just in time to have a front row seat to watching the HB get slaughtered

Why limit that to WR's? It happens all the time in the open field now.

Whatever changes Maizehound made to open field blocking, I'm starting to wonder if maybe they're not getting multiplied somewhere in the code since it's pretty dramatic just how bad open field blocking has gotten.

Thanks again to all the forum whiners who didn't bother watching any games where QB Rollout teams got stopped so they could just copy-paste any of the multitude of plays that worked really well against it into their own playbook.

TxSteve,

I believe that was the same Offensive Playbook but the Tactics were different in that I took out the Screen plays.

Defensive settings were the same.

I'll watch the game and let you know for sure.

Data from our first game that I collected:

My Inside Runs averaged 2.53 yds.
My Outside Runs averaged 6.18 yds.

Additional data from the 2 games:

In the first game, my OTs had a total of 2 pancakes out of 105 total plays (between all 3).

Second game, they had 13 pancakes out of 110 total plays (between all 3).

I think that is pretty valuable info. As a point of reference - my DE's are much closer to "balanced" than they are to run stopping - so only 2 pancakes on them (considering the seasons worth of exp you have) seems insanely low.
