TBH, it seems like all of the stickied threads are pretty useless. They are all out of date as turnit/gart/stobie refuse to update the OPs

I don't know. When a young team is experiencing the wonders of WL for the first time, a thread like that to explain statpads and how they're used and what they're for... can help them not feel so alone. WL should be a wonderful time for a team that is just starting to mature, and it is nothing that should be shameful.
