So let me understand, It's not coincidental that the two conference championship losers; That never said anything about the sim or AI during the regular season. Simultaneously complain; And the winners of said games shouldn't take that as a slight to their game planning efforts?

The frustrations of losing is understandable. It comes from a competitive nature; However, when you look for an excuse in losing, and post it in the forum it simply appears to the rest of us as being sore losers.

Last season the Hitmen lost a tough Conference Championship Game to an excellent Barcelona team who had a great game plan. The Hitmen Owner, Coaches and Agents congratulated them on a well played game, not only in the league forum but also in personal PM's. And didn't take anything away from their effort in their victory by saying; "However the sim didn't let us" etc,etc.

That is pretty weird Gaelenkash. I do have to say that was a weird play that it called on the 5 WR set. However most of the game it did use the play that you had set up.

I can't say yes or no on how the sim didn't use what AI's you had set up however what I will say is that I have never had a problem where it didn't run what I adjusted to. The 5WR offense for us in this game was something that we really hadn't used at all in any of our previous games and it worked very well against all the defenses that you had set up in that game.

The play where the sack looked like it was but didn't happen I am almost positive was the SA- Turn Shoulder activated. It doesn't always activate but it did on that play I believe.

You are a very good game planner but I also think that if you have it set to auto adjust and a play doesn't work a couple of times in a row it will go away from running those plays. I am guessing that you have auto adjust set to a medium to higher % which will make changes at times. Ours is set VERY low so in almost every case it keeps doing what we called for the whole game. If it does change something it is usually on a play that we got beat on.

I would say that your run to the left strategy actually worked pretty well. Every time you ran INSIDE left it went for 6-8 yards. It was the OUTSIDE left plays that you got caught in because the DE played in the flat and the vision allowed him to see run play. The one time that you did beat him it was a nice up cut by the HB that got 8 yards and he was tackled by the FS.

Once you start losing I think that auto adjust also will start to pass more because you were running fairly well at first and then started to pass more once we got the lead.

Overall though GREAT GAME I would say. I hope to play you again sometime and I think that you guys have a great team. Privately I was really thinking that we would lose so I am very happy that we won!!

- No, they shouldn't take it as a slight of their gameplanning efforts. The team that beat us, BMW - put together a great game plan which was shown by the result. I am more upset with game itself, not the game within the game (if that makes sense). I can be angry/frustrated with the game and congratulatory to our opponent. That's what I am trying to do.

I've tried to make it clear tht I was frustrated, but not trying to make the sim an excuse for losing. For instance, we have one play in the 5WR set for defense. That's it. Even delain3 noticed it. "I do have to say that was a weird play that it called on the 5 WR set. However most of the game it did use the play that you had set up." The point is (the point I am making) that we got smoked on defense all the other times that our NORMAL/GAMEPLANNED play that we set up was used. So, regardless, we lost the game when the actual one play that I used in our AI for a 5WR actually ran. BMW gained big yards on us everytime they were in a 5 WR set and ultimately that was why we lost because we could never stop them on 3rd down. My point it - the sim actually called a play we didn't set up one time (JUST ONE TIME!!!!). I'm just asking how does that happen? That one play in no way affected the outcome of the game - but it shows there was an error in the sim - and that is all I was trying to point out. I'm trying my best to give props to BMW for beating us, but everytime I say something, somebody is trying to turn it around that I am slighting them.

Again, for the record - GG BMW. Well played. And GL against the Hitmen.

If you only have one setting in your AI then that is the only defensive play that should be called.

sounds like operator error to me, sorry just in 9 seasons I have never had the sim not follow my game plan, when something went crazy, it was always traced back to a screw up on my part

I have to agree with him. I've managed to screw over my team several times with crappy AI mistakes but have never had it misfire when I personally didn't screw it up. Have lost some games I didn't think I should have but never because of the sim, it always ultimately comes down to the person setting up the AI.

Yes mick you did say GG. But you deleted the first part of the quote to make it more appetizing. Just wish you would of kept the first part out by saying the sim handed us the game.

That's like saying you didn't beat us the sim did coming from one side of your lips, while saying GG great team coming from the other side.

IMO you have always been one of the coolest owners and great game planners on GLB. I will never forget the help and advise you given us back in season 7.

I say keep it simple, GG and GL. That's it. Mentioning the AI or sim, especially within a congratulatory statement; is a widely known GLB faux pas. You can't be "the better team" when you win yet have it be "the buggy sim" when you lose. That's only permitted in your own little world that helps you sleep at night, but on the forums you gotta man up lol...no belly aching.

But enough about that, GG ECA and GL to BMW in the finals!

Yeah, I was wrong to bring the sim into it. Looking back you guys did a really excellent job of stuffing our weakside running attack. It was a ballsy call you had to make considering how often we ran to the strong side against you guys in our regular season outing.

TBH, with the success you guys had running to the left on us the first time we played, I was surprised it wasn't called more. I was pretty sure you were going to pin point that in your game plan considering we had such a hard time stopping you.
