Sounds like the Packer's off season. . .

You get through all that Favre stuff and that is the biggest move they made all season.

I have a story for you. In August I vacationed with my family on the Cisco chain in the U.P., just over the border with Wisconsin. Driving up we listened to the radio and just about every station in Wisconsin that we listened to all the talk was about how horrible it was that Favre was gone. One DJ even said "can we please go an hour without mentioning the F word?" But there was one moment that really stood out. We stopped off in Eagle River, Wisconsin, on our way up for groceries. As I was checking out the dejected and somber looking lady manning the cash register asked me "Isn't it just so sad about Brett Favre?" I just looked at her and said "Lady, I'm from Chicago." She looked me in the eye with a puzzled expression and appearing to be close to tears and asked "Don't you care?" I couldn't help myself, all I could do was laugh and I felt bad laughing because she really did appear to be very upset. It was quite surreal.

Is there another team in the East that can be a contender ? If so, I must be missing it ?

Aaron Rodgers was a beast yesterday. I know it's only one game but it was against the MINN defense, and he looked like one of the better quarterbacks in the league already. Great reading the defense, great touch on his throws. If anything, he inherited a bit too much of Farve's gunslinger go for the gusto mentality, throwing a few ill-advised passes under pressure. But man, did he save my fantasy football team by holding the MINN defense to 2 points!

So I herd the only reason GB beat Minnesota is because Tarvaris Jackson is a WR trying to play QB.

Rodgers did look good but might I add that Minnesota's pass defense is one of the worse in the NFL. They have one of the best rush defenses in the game though.

Yes but they were purportedly to have a terrific pass rush after the addition of some new DEs. And they got good pressure, but Rodgers handled it like a pro.

This coming from a guy who pays to play an online football game with colored dots ... ironic.

Nothing escapes you ... except the irony of someone shittalking Packer fans for obsessing over a silly game. Reminds me of the threads where people tried to shittalk the PD guys for playing other online games as though a blip-based online football sim was so much e-cooler.

Good luck in your scrimmage tomorrow, bitch.
