My dad has been a Green Bay fan for 53 years. He sent a letter to both newspapers up there, Ted Thompson, and the 70+ Board members. He said that their treatment of the Brett Favre situation and Thompson's desire to "put his stamp" on Green Bay has made him end his affiliation to the team. He has packed up and put away all his Green Bay items (lots of signed memorbelia, pictures, jackets, blankets and other stuff) and said he hopes Green Bay never wins another game while Ted Thompson, McCarthy, and the CEO are employed by Green Bay. He is now a Jets fan! Although, he hopes to be a Vikings fan if Favre moves on next season...

Sorry, but "fans" like this that wish a franchise that they are supposedly "fans" of to have disastrous seasons just so they can settle some personal score with some front office guys and a coach they've never met who knows more about football than they can ever dream of is pathetic.

Tell your dad to piss off and go be a Jets fan. He's being a whiny little crybaby.

Just in case there is confusion. I'm not a Green Bay fan. I'm an NC State Wolfpack fan.

That said, I've always respected Green Bay and their fans for being tough as nails and winning the right way. Not to mention they gave Koren Robinson (troubled former State player) another shot at the Pros!

This. Brett Favre's personal support for KRob was also impressive, particularly coming from a superstar who didn't need to do anything of the sort. I'll always respect him for his sincerity and wearing his heart on his sleeve (not just in that matter, but in every matter).

But you can count me as a Chargers fan for as long as #17 wears their jersey!

Why do the Vikes keep Brad Childress as a head coach? This guy does not know what he's doing...

The question Vikings fans have been wondering for a few years.

Hey all!

I'm assistant DC for Tanzanian and I understand we'll be joining you next season. So I jumped in here to see what's up and stumbled on this thread.

I live just outside of Green Bay and I was born and raised with green and gold blood running through my veins. I couldn't help but notice a couple of things. First, to those people who are going to throw 10, 20, or 50 years of rooting for the Pack out the door because of one personell move, good riddence. To those of you who think Brett Favre got screwed out of Green Bay, come on! Do you really think that anyone who stood to make BIGTIME cash from having him as their starting QB would run him out of town? HELL NO! He got his feelings hurt for some unknown reason and he couldn't get past that. He no longer wanted to play for Ted Thompson. I sincerely believe he wanted to be in Green Bay but I am pretty convinced he put the Packers between a rock and a hard place saying either Ted goes or "I go". Did the Packers handle it well? No, absolutely not. Did they make the right decision given all the information? Yes, I believe they did. Did Brett Favre handle this well? No, absolutely not.

And to all those who want to bash Aaron Rodgers because he isn't #4? Scoreboard!
