Oh well, it'll just be easier to get that championship and move up and be with you czman. Season 5 for Alpha is going to be a showdown between the Taiwan Dragons, Monks, and Mustangs. The Tibetan Black Dragons will be somewhere in that mix also.
In Zeta it looks like HRY and MMJ are a cut above the rest with Guam and Idaho stepping into the big 4 to replace Taiwan and BGC.
FW Thunder has always perplexed me, their team looks like it has the talent to be one of the big boys, but they just can't win the games they should during the season. Not sure if it gameplanning or what.
I hope they put our matchup with MMJ later in the season this time.
Zeta initial offseasonlook (very rough estimates): ----Tier 1---- 1. HRY 2. MMJ ----Tier 2---- 3. Idaho 4. Gaum ----Tier 3---- 5. Fort Worth 6. Davao 7. Arrowhead Fanatics 8. Blue City 9. Laos 10. KWD ----Tier 4---- 11. Beijing Knights 12. Semarang 13. Blutos 14. Kalamazoo Kung Fu Killers ----Tier 5---- 15. Good Morning Vietnam (Gutted) 16. BGC (Gutted)
HRY and MMJ are currently far above everyone else, and thus, in tier 1. They are the current favorites to play in the Zeta Champ Game
Guam and Idaho aren't far behind. Both were heavy sleepers last season, but with both of the teams in last season's Zeta Final gone, they've got a big chance to make some noise and move into tier 1
Tier 3 (contending for playoffs) has no proven teams. So far, all the teams in this tier are WAY behind the top two tier teams. FW and Davao both made the playoffs last season, but both were crushed in the first round, proving they are not ready to play in big games. Blue City had 0 wins over playoff teams, and missed the playoffs. It looks like Laos has done a good job rebuilding thus far, but they haven't proved they're ready to win against quality teams yet. Ciabola has done a great job rebuilding KWD, but they are still rebuilding, and untested. Arrowhead was promoted from SE Asia A, but since they've just had their cap removed, they need to recruit higher level players to compete in our league
Beijing has the most sleeper material of the teams in Tier 4. Teams in tier 4 are not far behind those in tier 3, but they need to prove themselves more before moving up. None of the tier 4 teams are in danger of relegation at the moment, since the tier 5 teams are very weak.
The only two teams in tier 5 are both gutted, and will start far behind the other teams. Both teams here are the early projections to be relegated, unless they can make up some major ground thru recruiting
Montville has no QB right now but as soon as ticket sales go through my own personal QB is coming in so don't worry we're going to be around the 45 to 42 range.
Originally posted by DaveTN Although scouting numbers alone mean little, if anything, until all the teams reform and finish signing players, etc. here is how Alpha looks:
Many new teams. Kind of sad to see the league go the way it has this off season. I am really glad we moved up now though. I would hate to play 3 or more new teams in one season.
