I don't like losing, and consider it a pretty bad game. And now we have mealingless scrimage games for the next 8-10 days. ARGH.

I wish both Beltway and Marvins good luck, as long as you fall to Ghana, so we can keep having fun together.

the winner of the Bandits and Marvins game is going to get promoted no matter what they do against their Elephant Opponent... Top two in each league get promoted

Good game Ghana....we tried, but it just wasn't meant to be. Good luck the rest of the way.

Good game. You guys played us tough and had some success with the run. You guys out rushed us, which is supposed to be our (self-proclaimed) specialty. I was pretty impressed and more than a little fearful.

Well Ghana has lost a game this season, granted it was a scrimmage but that shows they CAN be beaten soehow

I believe we lost five scrimmage games. Otherwise you are completely correct. We won the regular season and first two playoff games because we wanted some extra cash for the stadium, but I talked Lensar into staying in this wonderful league of brotherly love. Kinshasa shouldn't even bother to game plan for us since we're going to attempt a field goal on every play.

Yeah, it kind of is, but what Doc_Nilla doesn't know is that our kicker is boosting before the next game. I'm thinking we can still pull out a win by kicking a FG on every play. Should be fun to watch.

I just watched that South Park episode where the kids are being forced to play baseball and keep trying to lose so they can go back to playing video games. Good stuff!

That would explain why you told our return man to move all his equipment to speed. Now that he's almost to 90, you figure we'll get good enough field position on the returns for our boosted kicker to be in range. I fear I was underestimating your sneakiness, sir.

We had gotten lucky to have a close game earlier in the season with a interception run back for a TD, but no such luck today where Ghana played an excellent and mistake free game.

We tried to pull out a lot of the stops and while a win would have been terrific, getting a respectable showing was the goal. We did much better with the run game this time and managed to occupy the top spot for the most yards given up by Ghana this season, but it wasn't enough. (For those interested, Ghana has only given up two 100+ yard games this year, which is just incredible given how strong the running game was this season).

The only thing I forgot (besides the kitchen sink) is to put in some more conditions where we would have gone on 4th and short. It would not have made a difference in the outcome of the game, but it could have made it a bit more interesting.

Ghana has a terrific team and has shown they are ready for the next level. Best of luck to you the rest of the way.

Here are my predictions:

Lion Conference

1. Tijuana Thundercats vs. 4. Mozambique Starvin Marvins
This is arguably my favorite matchup of teams in the playoffs. Will boosting early hurt Mozambique? Will Robb get his wish of a Beltway v Marvin matchup? I think the Marvins will escape with some late 4th quarter magic.

Mozambique 21 - Tijuana 20

2. Beltway Bandits vs. 3. Red Sea Wave Matchup
Beltway right now just looks unstoppable. One of the most complete teams top to bottom in the league. The Red Sea will make it a game for 3 quarters, but Beltway will be too deep and too strong.

Beltway 28 - Red Sea 13

Elephant Conference

1. Ghana Buffalos vs. 4. Cairo Crocodiles
Cairo had a great season, but I think the boosting early is going to be costly. Ghana is legit and I think they make it to the finals from the Elephant.

Ghana 24 - Cairo 17

2. Kinshasa Rumblers 3. Sierra Leone Magicians
A great game earlier in the year, but Kinshasa's running game was too much. I think Doryano learns from the past and the boosting late will help the strong balanced offensive attack will prove too much for the Magicians.

Kinshasa 34 - Sierra Leone 24

Good call on Beltway being a little too strong for us. We held tough and it was a close game. A few too many turnovers killed us. RSW will come back even stronger next season. I don't think we'll be sneaking up on anyone next year.
