Nothing.... The NFL does it when creating Pro-Bowl teams. Why not have a 1st & 2nd team for each conference, so more people can receive recognition as "All-Pro" players?

Honestly the only thing is that it's easier to tally up votes for 2 teams as opposed to four. Also you take the chance of not enough votes coming in for 1 league then you have an all star team with very little parity.

And to beardown: You're welcome to both your opinion and your cynicism but before implying anything was not on the up and up feel free to ask your GM how he voted.

*****************

I've seen posts on the suggestion forums to allow a leaguewide vote for all stars and to have the two conference all star teams play each other after the title game. Something like that would be great and also help resolve any harsh feelings ppl have at not making the vote.

Lobbins was robbed I'd like to see those QBs perform that well underlevelled and on a mid-table team :|

Rigged voting imo
There's also a couple MVPs from the worst non-gutted team in Zeta.

Dublin again with only one allstar... again proving that it doesn't take a team of allstars to win games.

Uh well look at his stats and he was in the mix last season also. Not sure what you are trying to imply with this post.

Even worst teams as you put it have top players that produce. Again I am not sure what this comment is also trying to prove.

When you win only one game that actually counts for anything during the season, it'd be a stretch to call your players the most valuable anything.

Except maybe 'Most Valuable Stat Padding'

EDIT: That said, Malmo's punter definitely deserves -some- kind of reward for having more yards than their QB, because in some fucked up way, that's quite an achievement.

Maddoc if you don't mind me asking which players did you think were not deserving? And I'll be honest with ya, there are some results that I myself totally disagree with and voted against but the majority disagreed with me.

And just to prove I'm being honest I'll tell ya one of mine. I didn't vote for 6 Feet Under to make the team but he finished as a first team LB. My reasoning being that as impressive as the tackles total was I couldn't ignore the 40 missed tackles nor the fact that the reason his total was so high was that his team was often shredded early and most teams just ran the ball all second half to milk the clock and that afforded him his lofty numbers. However, that's just my opinion and the majority disagreed.

Heh.... 9 TD's vs. 25 INT's. I see your point.

Damn right. If my receivers weren't so LAZY AND TERRIBLE that would be like 34 TDs right there.
