Sorry, I wasnt willing to expand the list to include the top 30 WR's in the league

Actually, in all fairness he didnt miss the cut by that much.

Thanks for setting this up, KellerFox. A thankless undertaking, for sure...lots of deserving players, but the ballots can only be so long.

With that in mind, I just want to take a quick moment to give some props to my OL...they've done one heck of a job this season. None made the ballot, but as a unit, they're #1 in my book. One of those situations where the unit as a whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Thanks again, and good luck to all in the playoffs.

How did my guy "Getting Physical" not get on the Punter Returners list? Here are the stats...

91 returns
1447.5 total return yards
15.9 average return
4 TDs

http://goallineblitz.com/game/stats.pl?league_id=84&conference_id=167&stat=sp_teams&sort=punt_return_yards&playoffs=0

And yet Monstrik and Artur made it?

Maybe it's because Monstrik and Artur didn't get to play malagasy and arhus to pad their stats.

Both of your guys were in consideration and were the first on the list of those on the oustide looking in. As GMathiasf said, Lion Conference teams were able to pad our stats against 4 teams (3 of which were gutted at the start of the season) while Elephant only had arguably 1 chance (even at that, the Cannibals have a higher level average than 5 or 6 of Lions teams).

In all fairness both of your guys are easily top 6 or 7, however there were also clearly better returners in Lion conference and I had to put a few Elephant conference returners on the list in order for it to be fair and equal... and a strong case can be made that these two Elephant guys would have had better stats than you two had they been in Lion. Again you both have very talented and deserving players but for a couple of reasons they didnt make this list.

I have to say, im impressed at how the Knight Riders clearly pulled together to vote for all of their players. Maybe other teams should take a page out of their books or our all-league team is going to end up looking like the NFC Pro-bowl roster this past season (with 13 Cowboys).

Yah, this is exactly why league wide things are somewhat silly when looking at stats. I've never understood why they give out trophies to league leaders instead of conference leaders. For instance, the guy who's going to win the rushing title for this league had about 1000 yards against malagasy and arhus. Our guy Oldhouse lucked out in facing arhus our last game and chalking up 300+, but he consistently put up better numbers against tougher teams including 180+ against Gold Coast. There's just too much room for error among league wide stats.
