Results of the Coaches Preseason Poll.

The Barbarian Horde‘s wealth of talent has not gone unnoticed. Despite starting from scratch the Barbarian Horde were named the No. 1 team in the GLB USA A #6 preseason coaches poll. The Horde received a total of 10 of the 15 first-place votes from the received ballots.

The Horde’s defensive captain, Derrick Johnson from Texas University, said this after hearing this about his team. “Wow! Number 1. That’s saying a lot about how well our owners have put this team together. I just hope finish to the year at the top too.” Johnson looks to anchor a stout defense that has three starters over level 10.

The Richey Royals finished with 3 first place votes. Their defensive captain, Josh Frisinger from Dawson County Community College, said, “I’m really excited to get the season started. We have some great depth and it’ll be interested to see how the season goes.”

Ginger Vitis DE of the Death Valley Grave Diggers wasn’t surprised to hear that his team was third overall. He said, “I knew during two-a-days we had a good team, but it’s good to see others take notice too.”

The Owens brothers lead the fourth ranked team, San Francisco Fire. Both of the WR’s said, “Montana Young to Owens, is there anything prettier than that?”

The top two teams in the Eastern Conference finish off the top teams. Memphis River Rats and Lizard Lick Lizard Lickers (LLLL). The MLB of the Rats, Dick Butkus Sr., told us, “You gotta take one game at a time. It’s a long season, we’ll see how it all cleans up at the end of the year.” LLLL’s DeMarkus Jackson was surprised when he talked about being the number one team in the Eastern Conference. “We worked hard during the off-season and put together some great guys. With all the good teams out there, I’m surprised how high we are ranked.”

Good work on the poll, though I'm going to have to say the Wolves got snubbed a bit

Do you plan on doing this throughout the season, or just the one preseason ranking?

I may do it later on like at the half way point. It was fun. Most of the owners were happy to help.

Good game, Saint Paul Vulcans! Gave my rookies a run for their money! One game down, and many to go! LOL

Good luck to everyone this year!

Owner of the Death Valley Grave Diggers.

Big win for us this year but, the competition didn't look prepared with a human team. We will take the win though. Should be a big game this week Va. Coos Bay. Alot of good teams out there by the looks of it so far in this long season...

Yeah, USA A #6 isn't making much noise. We've got a few matchups this week between 1-0 teams:

Mentone Beach Assault vs. Richey Royals
Coos Bay Black Chickens vs. Death Valley Grave Diggers
Philadelphia Wolves vs. Dearborn Bullitt
New England Red Celtics vs. Lizard Lick Lizard Lickers

I'd say the games of the week are Coos Bay-Death Valley (Western) and Philly-Dearborn (Eastern).

Hour and a half away from kickoff. Can't wait to see the Celtics and Lizards go at it. Just hoping for a good game, and maybe that the Celtics end up with more points at the end

Good game Fanboys...

Though I don't see myself settling for a FG on the 0 yard line with 3 minutes left and down by 7 with a kicker that is 0 for his career after two straight positive yardage gains

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=19848&mode=pbp

but that's just me

vbg

Good game
