The new OWNER traded away our best RB, the new OWNER traded away our Cornerbacks and our Safeties. The Owner is the one who did any kind of gutting. Matt has not removed anyone from the team. He simply gave those players who did not want to be stuck into their season 5 contracts what they wanted. Now its up to the owner to try and convince us to stay.

So far his tactics have been to bring in a new GM who with his first post on the team forums insulted the team's integrity and heart.

Everything is spoken truth. We are 3 deep at key positions so he could bring in his QB and RB. We already have a solid QB so his player wasn't really needed. I asked to have my contract reduced. I would have demanded a trade other wise. I was all for trying to help the team and give the new owner a chance, but he has done nothing yet and his GMs have insulted everyone on the team for not volunteering for a GM job when most of us already are thin on time.

They don't understand what is it to run a team. They check in once a day and expect things to be done for them. One post in the thread said "What does Matt have to do that keeps him so busy from running this team?" or something very similar. Matt runs a team and has his own and stated he couldn't do everything but the owner expected him to. The team is 95% in favor of Matt in this debate and the ones who said they would stay asked for releases the moment Matt was fired.

I heard the other GMs asked Matt to quit his RL job because he wasn't committed enough to the team. What ever came of that?
Rumor was, they planned on reporting to his employer that he dipped in the company $ reserve.

We could go back and forth forever and bore everyone else reading this thread. I choose not to do this. I just know that under no circumstances should a GM be allowed to gut a team short of the owner telling him to gut it.

I agree. The only player Mattman definitely cut was cut before broncofan sold the team, and that was Flash Dash, our RB1. Flash Dash's owner had a verbal agreement to join the team during season 3, and Mattman didn't want to have him get brought on for season 4, and then get stuck with a random new owner. Flash Dash's owner came back as soon as he was cut and said he'd resign, but within 1-2 hours, found a new team and left for good.

The main reason that we're missing so many players is that most had 40 day contracts, meaning that they expired during days 16-20. Since several of them decided they didn't want to stay with the team, our depth was shot, which left the team in the state it is in now. Looking over the roster, the only new additions to the team since week 8 have been two free safeties, and a cornerback.

After this, I'll leave this thread alone, as I've never been an advocate for this sort of thread.

The problem with Flash Dash is he had to wait 20 days before resigning with the team.

Ah, you're right. That explains it. He should have mentioned that, as he looked like he just skipped out on us .

Lol no he didn't skip town on us. He wanted to return and couldn't at that time. He was released because it took ALOT of work, alot of back and forth to convince him to sign with the team. He had jsut been in and out of some very tough situations full of empty promises. And with everything he went through I wasnt going to make him go thru the exact same thing again.

I signed all the players on that team so I think I have every right to cut whoever I wanted to cut and shouldnt have to provide reasons to onlookers who know no better and just have to voice their opinion. Cant please everyone. (edit)

You guys should be alright 'toughing it out' the rest of the season then your freeee! Lol If I were you guys I would probably sign with some A2 teams just to woop on the ^^^^^.

I don't mind leaving Canada A#2, as long as I'm in Canada AA#1. PMM and Puvi have been drooling over the thought for over a month now. We both proved we're capable, no matter the tactics.

Still dont think you can use season 3 stats for anything at this point, but no doubt that PMM and Puvi have proven to be favorites again this year, leading the tables and all

It's not like anyone will find it undeserving if its those 2 teams that gets promoted, so why the fishing for acknowledgment?(or whatever the word is, its 4am and English isn't my 1st language )

Just so you armchair moral critics know, I know that I personally would have never signed to the Crush were it not for Matt's negotiating skills and pitch. Period. He had the trust and respect of (as far as I know) every player on the team.

The latest situation is caused by an inactive owner who thought he had hit the jackpot with a solid team and someone doing all the work for him. He never showed the commitment to doing anything besides changing the name with those ridiculous ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.
