Vols were VERY VERY VERY fortunate. Stallions dominated for much of the game before a huge 4th quarter. 20 yd TD with under 30 seconds left? Won't happen that often. Still, they did it, and shame on the Stallions kicker for missing a PAT.

That's a rematch I want to see in the playoffs.

Rome and Polk grinded it out in an old school, low scoring slugfest. GG Rome.

Indeed, turnovers were big. 2-0.

GG Stallions.

PS your WRs were lucky enough to make those big plays while Stone wasn't on the field.

GG Rome. Close, defensive battle... the yardage totals were extremely close but for whatever reason we couldn't punch it in. Nice retribution for last season.

Now, we're rooting for Normandy... Whoop!

thanks Fahrenheit, great game you guys played today
The word lucky and the word Stallions should not be used in the same sentence today...

Thanks Wally. Doesn't get any easier from here on out.

As the kicker, I am willing to take full responsibility for the missed PAT. If it had been a late TD PAT, we'd be blaming it on choking, but since it was so early... I just don't know. The two FGs were tough ones, but not anything I've never done before. Hopefully, my guy can pull himself back together and dominate in the playoffs.

If only I had made that PAT... OT. Who knows what would have happened there, would I kick a clutch game-winning FG, would the Stallions make a huge play for a TD, or would the Vols have won anyway. No one will know now, but it would be great to debate. One thing is for sure however, just because the Vols squeaked a win by us, doesn't mean the Stallions are going to be a pushover if we meet in the playoffs.
